For secondhand clothing, the UWS is replete with stellar options {Housing Works on W 74th, Housing Works on W 96th, Unique Boutique on W 83rd, St Francis Thrift Store on W 96th = all excellent options}. UES has great thrift options too: Unique Boutique on E 94th, Housing Works on E 90th, Goodwill NYNJ on E 88th, & there’s another one in East Harlem}. Once you step in and see how current and high quality the pieces they have are, and for such bargain prices (plenty of great pieces between $5 - $20), you’ll basically never shop new again. It’ll change the way you shop in nyc.Housing Works on 74th & Columbus —this one in particular has some terrific designer fashion finds; it also has a very cool home-wear section and some collectible pieces that are sold off on an auction basis. It’s very very cool. You can find some really stellar finds at excellent prices at both of the Unique Boutiques on UWS and UES.

I would give it higher stars if possible, a wonderful thrift experience. Don’t expect Salvation Army prices as this is downtown Manhattan and the quality and brand of goods sold here is higher standard than average thrift shop. Good pricing for what they offer. They do run specials and sales, as well. Don’t be turned away by the size or organization of the store, they are constantly restocking and cleaning so there may be boxes or bags in the aisle while they work. Staff is accommodating and attentive

this thrift store was terrible!!! my friend was buying boots and a jacket and the cashier guy (who was a creepo) charged her credit card like 5 times, so instead of the bill being $35 it was $100 something which is SO MESSED UP!!! do not recommend.. would give this thrift store zero star review if it where an option.

Unique Boutique has a store in my block Upper East Side. When I'm in this West Side neighborhood I visit this location. I am sure I took lots of photos and did a review but they're not posted here. Bottom line is they have a wide variety of unusual items that people donate. I really enjoy looking and sometimes I find a nik knack for my daughter! There's always CD's and books too. I'm recommending you visit either location.

I dig this place! It's got that old school thrift store feel. Yeah, it's haphazardly organized; yeah, you've got to put in some time and effort to find gems. But gems there are, and for mostly cheap prices. The only article of clothing I've ever paid more than $9.99 for here has been a nice Anthropologie skirt for $20. I find this refreshing as the prices at more "curated" thrift stores like Buffalo Exchange have been steadily creeping upward, even for fast fashion brands. But what really makes Unique Boutique, well, unique to me is the assortment of non-clothing goods for sale like dish-ware, artwork, books, DVDs etc. You're bound to find an interesting random read, and it's only $1 for soft covers and $2 for hardcovers! On my last visit I walked away with a near mint copy of Epictetus' Discourses for only a buck. Which made me pretty happy lol.

Good selection of very affordable clothes, shoes and kitchen. I’d recommend if you’re looking for thrift clothes, which we know is hard to find these days

Love this place, I've lived in the area for a few years and this has always been my favourite thrift store. Great staff also!
