I should have listened to the reviews. Wouldn't take my packages because they didn't like the way they were wrapped. Gave me so much attitude and argument that I just walked to the other USPS at Penn Station and they took my packages no issue.

The customer service here is probably the worst I've ever experienced. The employees do the absolute bare minimum and have an attitude speaking to every customer, no matter what. This is by far the closest option to ship anything where I live, but unfortunately the employees have been nothing but rude and curt every time I've come. I will now actively be walking 15-20 minutes just to ship a box because of how difficult these folks make it.

Bad business! The internet has been down so they can only accept cash. I had a QR code but couldn't use it so I had the label printed out and I asked for tape and she told me I had to purchase! So useless! Also they tend to close half hour early than listed. Please do us all a favor and close this one already!

I’m so appalled! Brought in 31 certified letter print stamped and they refused to accept it. The clerk states, they can only take 7. When I ask why, clerk says, it’s because they’re in a financial location. Even more reason to take certified mail from a very big business in the city. Billion dollar company mail being refused. I can understand if I did something incorrect but all in order just simply refused. I will make it my duty to have the company change direction from how we send mail. Also, I’m still walking in this heat to get to PO at 18th Street, where she sent me.

To put it nicely I’ve been here dozens of times and none of them have been good. Possibly one of my least favorite places in the city if not the world.

Denied service and tried to send me to UPS when I had a USPS label. Did not want to scan the package/do anything at all.

If I could do 0 stars I would.I have never had a single good experience here.I keep coming back thinking that maybe someone was having a bad day, but NO. It is only miserable human beings who work here. They will talk down to you and refuse to serve you for whatever reason they can think of. Dreadful dreadful place. Just go to UPS or FedEx and skip USPS altogether - they’ll likely just delay delivering or lose your package anyway.

Hi,I have had this ongoing issue with a postal worker at the 10th Ave Chelsea Station for several months now. She sits in the corner station on your left, right when you walk in. After the first incident, in which I pointed out to her that I had been waiting in line, the gentleman who just walked in, you let walk up to your window. Telling me I will wait. Someone else will be free soon. She kept on arguing with me. Calling me a short white man. When I went to the next window and told this woman that she has no right to speak to me like that, she grabbed the package out of her co workers hands, who was helping me and threw it towards me, through the glass, the glass was down and told me that I am not getting served here to leave. A supervisor came down and I was told they handled it. I took what they said and believed them, also telling me don't worry she is leaving in two weeks, which was not true.I went in another time and she refused to serve me and she told her girlfriend at the opposite window not to serve me either. And they both did not. I had to walk to another station. I went in again yesterday, I was getting money orders and the first window sign said no cash no money orders at this window. So I had to move onto her again. Well she did the same thing and refused to serve me. I said well that window cant so your the only one here, she said no I have no cash, I didn't need any cash. I told her by law she must serve me, she said she does not care she is not serving me to go somewhere else. She would never give me her name. This time I did take a pic of her running away to the back. There has been other incidents with her, with people in the building. Before this she has always been nasty, horrible attitude, on her phone and makes you wait while she sits there and finishes her text. This has become unacceptable, her behavior is deplorable.I have been going to this post office for eight years, I have never had any issue with any other representative. They all know me, we exchange conversation and they are always helpful. She is the exception.I would like that I will be able to go to my post office, which is right on my block. Which is my right!

The workers here are nothing but kind... I think people should be a little less harsh and give a little more grace.

In my experience, they don’t open on time. Their website and schedule on the door says they open at 9:30am. I waited until 9:50am this morning and they still weren’t open so I had to leave. Waste of time.

The reviews here are pretty accurate - This USPS is the worst. I ship boxes about twice a week and have been to every USPS in Chelsea/WV/Hell's Kitchen. The postal workers here are some of the rudest people and constantly yelling at customers or sounding angry with them. The frequently run out of boxes/materials to ship. Also, it is the only USPS that they require masks to get assistance, even though every other USPS in the area doesn't require them. Overall, this facility really is unbearable.

The supervisor at this location….my goodness. I will save my personal judgements and just state the facts so that others are aware of the proper practice if ever in my situation. I arrived at this location the day after I bought a money order which I needed reissued due to me writing the incorrect recipient. I came prepared with the money order, the stub, and the register receipt from the day before. The clerk at the window informed me that it is against their policy to accept money orders from any other post office (in this case, a location down the block) and that money orders needed to be returned on the same day, to the same location, and to the same clerk that they were purchased at. The only thing she could do is cash the money order if I gave her two forms of ID. This is NOT true. The issue with her response is that it goes against the policy listed on their website which I checked before coming in. Since the employee was scrolling on her phone when I arrived to her window, I asked her to just check the website so that she could see that what she’s telling me, doesn’t match the policy on the USPS website. She flat out said, “No I’m not doing that. I’m telling you that we don’t reissue money orders, we can only cash it. This is how it’s done.” She told me that she she’s never heard of what I’m talking about and that she’s been there since 2014. Since my money order wasn’t “spoiled/damaged” she couldn’t use the option on my money order. Since I wrote in the recipient information incorrectly my money order is not considered damaged or spoiled so she can’t reissue a replacement money order. She then loudly called over to her colleague who co-signed her responses. When I asked if I could explain this to a supervisor, she told me that she is the supervisor. I asked if her supervisor was there? Nope. She told me to go the the 18th St branch if I wanted to talk to another supervisor. It’s just about 90 degrees, but okay. Thank you for your service. I went to the 18th St branch. The issue was resolved after speaking to another supervisor who wasn’t initially aware of the policy I mentioned and gave me a similar initial response, much more professionally though. The difference? He found a resolution because he allowed himself to explore and discover that sometimes the customer may actually be right and not trying to make trouble. I was literally just trying to complete a transaction within their own guidelines. Go figure.By the way, the USPS website states the following:“The United States Postal Service replaces, without charge, a damaged or defective Money Order or one that is “spoiled” during imprinting or customer completion if the customer returns the negotiable portion of the Money Order and the matching customer receipt.” “ To have a spoiled or damaged international or domestic Money Order replaced (including one that was made out to an incorrect recipient):Take both of the following to a local Post Office facility:The original Postal Service Postal Money Order. The purchase receipt for the original Money Order.Fill out PS Form 6401 (Money Order Inquiry). The Money Order will be immediately reissued.”
