I had a magical time at my Universal Standard personal shopping experience and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in trying their clothes in a warm, welcoming environment. The only minor difficulty was that the door buzzer wasn't working, but I called the phone number included in my appointment email and was headed upstairs in moments with my friend who was there for additional support. The rest of the appointment was ever better than I had hoped. The space is lovely and comfortable with refreshments and a very clean bathroom. I met with my very glamorous stylist who immediately put me at ease. I had come in to try on their new US + Henning collaboration and they had every piece I wanted to try on. We also walked through things I liked from the brand so he had a sense of what I wanted (although I later learned he knew my shopping history from US well so he wouldn't pull things I already owned!). After we spoke with the stylist, I was left alone with my friend and the other person who also shared my appointment time, who was lovely, and we looked at some clothes they had in the space while our stylist pulled looks for each of us. Then we were able to try everything on in dressing rooms and talk through them. I was able to order some items there and will order more later once I get home and decide on the colors. I know the US brand extremely well and I still thought this was an excellent experience. I felt very taken care of and appreciated. I also learned some styling tricks and things to consider when buying a blazer to ensure it's sized correctly. I just can't speak highly enough about this experience. I like shopping in general, but this was luxurious and special. I highly recommend!

As a plus size person, it is super disappointing that this is appointment only. It is hard enough to find clothes that fit, and when another barrier is added it is really frustrating. I have bought US online and I like their things, and when I got to New York, I was excited that there was a store here. I also really needed some things because I am a traveler and some of my clothes had been ruined on my trip. But nope, I can’t just go shop. Have to make an appointment. Super frustrating, and lost a $$$ sale from me.

This was one of the best shopping experiences of my life. First of all, yes you have to make an appointment. I saw people complaining about this in their reviews. However that's silly because you literally get a personal and private shopping experience. Don't we all love a personal shopper who knows every detail of the brand? Second everything in this space is a sample so you try on here and then are shipped your pieces later. Rachel was amazing and really made the experience special. Tbh I was just tagging along with some friends, but ended up getting a few pieces. I love that you didn't have to be worried about sizing as they are super inclusive of all bodies and I liked that Rachel really listened to all of us with what our needs and wants were surrounding our bodies. The quality of the clothing is great with excellent attention to detail, and this is the perfect brand to build a capsule wardrobe.

Utterly shocked at the high quality of their T-Rex shirt. No wonder it is a $50.00 shirt. When I received the promo code for a free shirt for the cost of delivery, I almost said, "Nah", but honestly, I have been very disgusted at the poor quality of fabric I have been seeing in other brands. I have every intention of making an appointment at their showroom to order a couple of decent dresses. I like the simplicity of the designs. They look like they will see the outside of the closet frequently.

Ok so I have never had a one on one fitting or stylist appointment before. But now I am spoiled. Jayden was absolutely wonderful. Took the time to go over things and tried on a bunch of different styles. Narrowed down to several things. Cannot wait to get my things soon in the mail. Need to understand that this is not a normal store where you try on and take home same day. Think more like back in the mid century where people would go to the dressmakers and see different designs and have them made. This is modern version of that. The brand has a huge size range and is truly inclusive unlike most brands out there that are really only for straight sizes. In trying on the clothes you can tell this is not "fast" clothing. The quality is exceptionally good for the price point. Jeans in the 120 range (one plus size store I shop at jeans are 80 to 90) so are not much more. Good fabrics like linen and cupro. Nice styles too from casual to more work minded. Definitely glad gave them a try.

I love universal standard. I have spent a pretty sizable amount of money there, some might call it a small fortune. I have always been happy with their customer service and the quality of their clothing. Their mystery boxes are my favorite. I love a surprise. Had the most recent situation not happened, they would always get 5 stars from me. I ordered their most recent mystery Box the minute it was released, A-day or 2 later they released a promotion for the first 200 to purchase a box ( Which I obviously was because I purchased my mystery Box before they ever added the promotion). I contacted customer service and explain the situation and asked to add the code to my order so that I could get the surprise gift, since I was clearly one of the first 200 to order, and they told me they could not add codes once a purchase was made. That seems ridiculous, Especially for such a loyal customer. And I am incredibly disappointed with the outcome of this. I know it seems trivial but It really just feels very unfair.

The clothing material feels soft and comfy, but that's where the positives end. Wow is online customer service absolutely horrendous! I bought three items with a $25 referral credit (NOT the RRR credits). Wanted to return one. Turns out that I should have been psychic! Because if return one, I lose 1/3 of my $25 credit. I explained the issue to customer service and the response was to wash their hands and imply I should have known better ("sorry, credits are divided between items can only be used once!). Not that this is written ANYWHERE on their website. I can only imagine that the math is too hard for them. There's a phone number to call, but it just directs you to email. And the emails don't have any human names attached, so you can't reference any conversations. Also, things are never in stock! So I can't even exchange the item for a better size/color/etc! For a company that charges $50 for a t-shirt, I would expect better service. The photos attached are out of order, but I labeled them. I got a bit testy in my second response. There are even more previous emails about a different issue where I was treated poorly as well, so my patience wore a bit thin...

Their jeans are comfortable but that is unfortunately the only positive I can speak to. Less than 2 months after ordering a pair there are large holes forming after very minimal wear (it's quarantine, who's wearing anything but joggers right now?) When I contacted customer service they told me this type of wear was normal for their products...yikes! I thought this pair would blow my old $20 pair out of the water, I was very wrong. So disappointing.

An absolute disgrace for a company! Customer service is horrible and it took me to call and simultaneously email them at least four times per minute in order to get a call back! I choose the fourteen day option because this is my first time ordering, therefore I wanted to make sure my purchase would fit! They then proceeded to authorize my card about TWELVE times during the trial period and once I thought I handled it, today (feb 18th) I see two authorizations, after speaking with STEPHANIE the afternoon prior to resolve the issue! This company is full of it and I will be unauthorizing BOTH charges and cancelling my card because I fear this company will continue to authorize my card! I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone! I had three of my friends place an order but they all cancelled once they saw my experience! This company is a joke and it is all due to there LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE! sn: they will never answer the phone if you call, you must leave a voicemail. I recommend power calling and emailing simultaneously to get a rapid response!

I did an online order on 12/4 and have not heard a word from them since. I tried to contact customer service through the chat, call, and text options all of which refer you to their email service. I emailed twice. I never received a response to the first email. In the second email I requested a refund if no shipping information was provided. I was told per terms and conditions "2-4 weeks for delivery". Well its 3 weeks in and still no shipping information. Again, no response from customer service. SHADY! Run away from this company. I was trying to support local or smaller businesses this season but these people are a joke and scam. Avoid at all costs.

I had a wonderful experience there. The Retail Experience Manager, Kate was fantastic. She helped me pick out pieces based off my personal style and needs, was very attentive and informative. Wish all my shopping trips were that good! Lol.

I just received my first order from US. I was hesitant because the items are pricier than what I usually buy and I was leery that plus size clothing would have that expensive cut be obvious. I got a coat, a pair of jeans, a denim shirt dress and 4 tops. I LOVED EVERY PIECE and would definitely order from them again. The "sweat shirts" fall perfectly and the colors are nice. The shirt dress is super flattering (haven't worn a dress in years) and the coat is great.
