My experience with University Animal Hospital has been exemplary! The staff goes way above and beyond the call of duty - calling promptly to give updates on stool samples and bloodwork, cooperating with the unusual situation of my being out of state in Florida (to care for my father who has cognitive decline) and having my roommate's God-daughter bring in our cat. I have full confidence in Dr. Chan as our Veterinarian. It is a pleasure and a blessing to do business with University Animal Hospital. I can't say enough good things about their excellent service!

I have been coming to UAH for many years. Dr. Zola is an outstanding veterinarian. He doesn’t miss anything. The animal techs are not only kind, but very skilled. I have a challenging little pup and they handle him gently and carefully. I also have had positive interactions with Dr. Cohen and Dr. Chan.?

The best! It’s run so thoughtfully. The veterinarians are thorough, communicative, and honest. I know my dog is receiving the absolute best care. What sets UAH apart is their genuine belief in pet owners’ concerns - never making you feel silly for expressing worries about your pet’s health, a refreshing change from my biggest complaint with other practices. They really work in partnership with pet owners, and it makes a world of difference in the level of care. The front desk staff are warm, knowledgeable, and truly pleasant. There’s such a homey atmosphere here, I really wish I found this place sooner.

So sorry to express you are in my opinion horrible people and horrific veterinarians who did not avail me of options that led to the death of one cat and such poor poor care and expensive cost that almost led to the death of a poor little innocent kitten.Thank heavens there are avenues I can and am exploring.

Dr Zola was great. Did a thorough exam of our newly adopted cat and gave us great advice for his care. Place was spotless and the staff was kind, polite and helpful. Highly recommend!

I've used this clinic twice to obtain the necessary documents to take my 14-year-old chihuahua to Europe. Both times they were incredibly organized, knowledgeable, and friendly! The front desk and support staff know exactly how to handle this process and are very friendly. Dr. Zola is warm and funny, and extremely knowledgeable. Love this clinic and HIGHLY recommend it!

Daisy, my teacup Morkie, has been going to Gracia for about 13 years now. On e or twice I have had to take Daisy somewhere else and it’s always been a major let down. Daisy loves Gracia and I do to. And Gracia loves dogs! She is the reason I bring Daisy for grooming at UAH. And I don’t take Daisy anywhere else.

If you’ve been to other vets, you should I’ll find Dr Zola a vet dream true.We brought our dachshund in to prep for a trip to Colombia where the requirements are incredibly complicated .He explained everything and took painstaking care in protecting Spankyy from any complications from vaccines, deworming etc. He is a USDA vet and certified him for all requirements.Thank you Dr Zola!:)

Dr Zola is the absolute best vet anywhere. We have two dogs and have lived in many places, and had many vets. We have moved from the city but still travel over an hour just to see him. Our family refers to him as The Dog Whisperer because he makes such a bond with our pets.

As always University Animal Hospital is without question the best animal hospital in New York. Dr. Chan is amazing. His knowledge and most importantly his love for his patients always makes these visits less stressful. I would recommend anyone to Dr. Chan and his staff.

This place was so kind. From front office to Dr Zola. I’m so thankful I tried them. Listened to my concerns and addressed them with thorough explanations. Communication is the top of my must have list. They didn’t disappoint. Stephanie Johnson

I've been taking my pets to University Animal Hospital for over 25 years. They have always been attentive, caring and compassionate. I first started taking my Yellow Lab to UAM. The most serious issue was when she ingested poisoned meatballs while I was visiting a friend in Staten Island. They had been placed in the yard to keep neighboring cats away by my friend's mother. The type of poison was used in the South to kill coyotes. Thanks to the help of Dr. Zola, she survived! Now, I have been taking my French Bulldog named Gizzy to UAM. She is now 14 years old. About a year ago, she developed an enlarged esophagus and could not hold down food which led to pneumonia. Dr. Chan treated her and he did an amazing job! Neither of us thought she would make it through the weekend, but miraculously she did! A few weeks ago, Gizzy contracted Pyometra which is a deadly bacterial infection in the uterus. I can now say she made a full recovery and is doing as good as can be expected for a 14 year old Frenchie! Dr. Chan has been nothing short of amazing in taking care of Gizzy!
