BEWARE. This company does not honor their guarantee. UGC installed my garden last year and promised that they would replace any plants that died within a year. Everybody survived except the centerpiece tree. They came and pulled out the tree but they are now refusing to replace it. I will reporting them to the BBB as well.This was a $15K+ job.In addition, although they did a good job with protecting the floors and the walls on the install, they mucked up the a new paint job on the ceiling with the first, now dead tree.Finally, (as if more were needed), they are extraordinarily poor communicators. It takes days and weeks to get responses out of them.No idea about the store, but I'd avoid their installation service LIKE THE PLAGUE. Very poor service.

Despite this year rocky experience with miss delivery two times, they managed to fix everything last minute. Exactly when I gave up on getting my order and asked for a refund they fixed everything and found a decent replacement. So far so good, but please pay more attention to your delivery process.

DEFEAT SNATCHED FROM THE JAWS OF VICTORY Just when I thought it could not get worse.... After my negative review posted two days ago I received a text from Urban Garden Center "We credited you $35,for your troubke. If you want a full refund, please bring back the tree or we can arrange to pick it up. " I replied that I would like to have them come pick up the tree and give me the full refund. Since then I have done everything I can to arrange a time for the pickup. I left SEVEN voice mails and sent FOUR Text Messages. I have heard nothing back. I am mystified. First they deliver the wrong tree with no notice and now they offer to retrieve the wrong tree but refuse to follow through with their offer. How is this a good way to run a business?

Me and my partner had a wonderful experience here. Honey and Melvin were very accommodating and helped us find the perfect plants for our home. I did see some plants that looked like they needed a bit more help than others but with amount of plants to care for and the amount of staff, it’s understandable.Overall they have a ton of healthy plants to choose from at a reasonable price. We will definitely be back once these babies settle in and continue to thrive. Thank You Urban Garden!

Poor driver quality! Dangerous driving! I pulled over on the side of the road, turned on the double flash in advance, and your driver honked wildly and smashed my car! I pulled over for 30 seconds, he scolded me for 28 seconds, threw a soda bottle at my friend and my car!

Pricey!Staff seems somewhat dazed and unattentive. I had to eait for a staff person to finish texting to close out my purchase. There have been seversl instances in my visits where staffers have been less than reaponsive. I guess rather than supporting a local business again, I'll give up the $$$ to Etsy!

If you make the mistake of ordering a delivery from this place, PAY WITH PAYPAL. They are THIEVES and will attempt to ignore you when you contact them for wrong orders! PayPal stepped in immediately and escalated, it’s the only way I got my money back for their royally bad service.

I have had zero luck with this place. At first I went down to the store to get help choosing plants for our terrace. I was told to email Sara with the size of the space etc. I did that and I heard nothing. Weeks go by with many unanswered emails so I call and speak to Sara who tells me she just missed my email; she's looking at it now and will get back to me with some ideas. Of course that never materializes. So weeks go by again and I call and speak to Joe who says he'll take care of it. And he does! I get some great ideas of plants and trees etc. He asks a few questions that I respond to immediately and tell him were ready to choose our plants. Crickets. I call. I email. I even reached out on their instagram page. Nothing. I'm quite literally ready to spend thousands of dollars there to buy the stuff they sell and nobody will even return a call or an email. At this point I will be going to another garden center.

The space is really nice and prices pretty fair for the city and I wouldn't hesitate to buy things on site from them again since the quality is pretty good. I would avoid getting things shipped to you from them though, I purchased several bags of soil and I had to call 3 separate times to try and schedule a delivery and each time they kept telling me they would call me back with times and never did. After 2 weeks I called and asked to cancel the order, the person I spoke to didn't seem very pleased but told me the order was cancelled and I would get a refund ... 2 months later and still no refund and I'm out over $300 ... so be careful! I'm not sure if the deliveries are handled by a different team because the customer service at the actual store is great, everyone's always very friendly and helpful but the delivery experience has been pretty frustrating.

Great selection and great experience working with Ramona finding the right plants for me! She was patient, gave me tips for plant care, and even taught me how to repot on the spot! Will definitely be back!

THEY ARE EXPENSIVE ON REALLY INEXPENSIVE HERBS!I was in a rush and bought 6 stem of herbs to grow.When I finally went home and looked at the receipt I realized that I was charged $48.$48?!?! (look at picture)you know how much more herbs I could have bought with $48I called thinking that there was a mistake but it didn't and I cannot even return them.Horrible Customers Service!To URBAN GARDEN CENTER...THAT WAS A ROBBERY. Everywhere else are 3$ each!There were no price around that listed herbs prices.Do not spend your money there!Harlem has many other beautiful plant store

This is such a fun little place. The name captures it perfectly. It's not a massive nursery, but the selection is surprisingly vast. Lots of pots and fertilizer. The only thing I didn't see were many gardening tools. Plenty of veggies and fruits, house plants, flowers, and indoor outdoor options. The location under the train is also very cool.
