I can’t even understand how people with zero costumer service can be employed in the post office .the cashier wouldn’t even care for me to explain my situation and already started with the attitude .i thought they are there to help !.another thing was the wrong information the call Center gave me and made me waste my time to go this post office and try to collect a package which apparently I can’t … I am in disbelief !

It's an impressive building on 8th Avenue and 34th Street, across from Madison Square Garden, that's built like an ancient Greek temple! It was built between 1911 and 1914, with an annex built between 1932 and 1935.

I'm so thankful to have the opportunity to mail something on Sunday or in the evening during the week.

Gotta love when the guy behind the desk says “I’m not doing your job” when you don’t have packaging tape

Terrible customer service! Mailed package was never shipped. Post office supervisor named ‘Matthew’ was absolutely unprofessional and rude– giving roundabout misleading information on locating the missing package.

Made an appointment for 9:30, was let in around 10am. Regardless, penny was the sweetest agent ever! Very caring and informative, unlike the other post offices I’ve been too, it was very refreshing.

This is the most terrible place , the slowest employees in my life, spent more than an hour, did the same thing 3 times

Three of four workers I encountered there were totally obnoxious, rude and/or unhelpful. One lady was nice and helped me get what I need. It must be a sad existence working there.

One of the clerks made very disturbing racial comments about Chinese women when servicing one, refused to change his rhetoric, and went on repeating the same thing. It was shocking to watch.

Terrible service. I waited 15 mins to get to the window. The woman who worked on window 8 on Dec. 2nd refused to scan my six prepaid packages. The reason she provided is “The label shows shipped date is 12/4/2023. I can’t ship before this date.” This is the biggest joke ever. The I had to use the self-scanning machine outside to get the receipts and put my packages in the mailboxes. I have never experienced this issue in any other post office. If you want me to use self checkout machine outside you can just told me, instead of giving me the stupidest reason. And if it were me, I would just scan packages for the customers, it will only take 2 mins instead of let them struggle with the broken scanning machine for half an hour. I wish that lady see my comment.

I have an extremely valuable UPS package of close to 50 lb sent to my P.O. Box here, which has a street address meant for the service of receiving UPS or Fedex packages. The tracking shows that it was delivered to the USPS mail room, at James A Farley and I also confirmed with the UPS driver and had him go check again. But when I went to pick up USPS claimed they didn’t have the package. It was a big, heavy box and impossible to miss - how can they just “not have it”? Something fishy happened. I lost thousands of dollars and now nobody is there to help me. I have been sick and lying in bed from the stress of having to deal with this.

Directions for those who need it:•approaching from 31st and 8th•facing Moynihan with back to MSG•take staircase on left side of building on 31st•go through revolving doors and through atrium into post officeIf you’re already inside the building you need to get to the floor above the Amtrak waiting area, there are multiple staircases up and an elevator for those floors in the food court at the Burger Joint. You would think that the USPS inside a major train station would be crowded, unhelpful, and dirty but this is the best USPS I’ve been able to find so far. And I’ve been to quite a few. The staff were super helpful and knowledgeable and didn’t try to pick a fight with me when I needed something explained further. Highly recommend. And it’s gorgeous.

I was here over a month ago. After leaving the location @ Camden Plaza downtown Brooklyn. When I tell you it was like night and day, This was my first time @ this location. I was shocked how clean the place was compared to ANY other postal office I have ever been to. There were only a couple of customers, as it was after 9PM. The clerk (Tiffany) was very professional, kind, and just super NICE!! :-)
