Coming here is always difficult and unpleasant. I’m here now and there is a long line that is barely moving because there’s only one retail service window open. Just mailing a package can be a 20-40 minute affair here. And the people working here tend to be unfriendly and unhelpful. An employee here just said they are severely understaffed. It’s not the fault of the staff. It’s like the city has just given up on providing an efficient postal service. And no one, besides the poorly served customers, seems to care. It is beyond comprehension that the wealthiest city in the wealthiest country in the world just can’t figure out how to have a postal office that works efficiently.

If I could give no stars I would. What happened to customer service? It doesn’t exist here and if there was a way I could bypass needing post office services I would avoid ever shipping or receiving any packages from them. I dropped one off today and wanted a receipt and she refused to give me one. She told me I need to get a receipt from the machine and when I inquired what machine her response was a very dry and sarcastic, “The self service ones. There are three of them around the lobby and they say self service on top”. 10/10 don’t recommend and after seeing the level of negative comments here the Post Office should be a ashamed of not coming in a correcting some of the serious issues. I constantly receive pack delivered emails with no package in sight and even the various companies that I’ve ordered from have responded that I have to wait a few days to file a claim because the post office will scan them delivered, but not deliver for a few days. Then why are they scanning them delivered? The whole situation is crazy and this organization is nothing like what it used to be.

Always crowded because there are never enough service windows open. They never replenish their mailing supplies. And most of the time they are out of rolls of flag stamps!

The most miserable, life sucking place I’ve had the misfortune to visit in Manhattan. Staff yelled, trash all around, customers cutting each other, there was incessant loud beeping, and after 30 minutes in line for one staffer I began to wonder if I had entered into hell or perhaps a lower level of purgatory.I had to go for my passport. If you don’t have to go, go anywhere else. I cried after I left and it ruined the rest of the day.

Complete incompetence. Even dropping packages is a disaster. They have a window that’s completely unsecured and you just throw your box on top of a pile. If they have more than one person available at a window it’s a miracle. If you need help with anything at all, they are almost always confused and usually unhelpful. Try calling their phone number. Nobody EVER picks up. Supervisors hide in the back and refuse to speak with customers. I’ve lived in NYC for over 30 years in all different neighborhoods. This is EASILY the worst Post Office I’ve been had to deal with. It’s that rare combination of unhelpful, incompetent and unavailable. Disaster!

They’re actually terrible…the person who is supposed to take passport pictures never shows up. Would recommend avoiding if you want peace of mind

Rude and nasty old lady. Caused my live animal to not be able to be picked up twice. Incompetent at her job and very unprofessional.That short man with the dirty long hair behind her is terrible also. As you can see he’s a drama queen. This idiot even knew what type of animal I was receiving. He’s nosey and doesn’t help customers, but walks around sticking his nose in everyone’s business.

Total incompetence, there is an Indian guy there, without a doubt one of the worst usps representative there will ever be, totally unhelpful, went to 700 Columbus post office and they helped me straight away with no questions, the Indian guy at 125th just kept saying that it was impossible to fulfill my request…

Mr Luna Lake, Has repeatedly bullied and harassed every employee he has encountered. His reviews have brought harm to many hard working employees. Read his reviews and you will see his tendency towards verbal abuse and hatred which runs through all his reviews. This man deserves no credibility. He despises everyone.

In response to Lake Nunya. I'm the short guy you mention in your illegal photo and I didn't even SPEAK to you. Your insane yelling when you were here only proves you are unstable. WHAT SANE PERSON ORDERS FISH THROUGH THE MAIL.? GO TO AN AQUARIUM LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. If you read Mr Lunas reviews, he has nothing good to say about ANY business. Hes an angry and unstable psychotic who comes into businesses to vent his self hatred. Don't put any credibility into his reviews.

THEY NEVER PICK UP THE PHONE!!!! Constantly losing packages and not very helpful finding them. I have to hound and call multiple times just to get no help.

This post office gets a lot of flak for often having a long slow line.The fact is all these people could be printing their shipping labels at home or at the Self Service Kiosks.I’ve shipped over 250 packages this year from this post office and not one has been lost. I give them a lot of credit for this
