This store female manager is horrible. She doesn’t know what customer service is. I went to this store to pick up my web order. I got a email on Nov.13, 5:42pm. The email said ready for pick up my order. The item will keep for next 3days. That means until Nov. 16 Thursday. Today is Nov. 16, Thursday. When I told the lady who work at the store she just looked only one side of the shelf behind the register(There are more shelves) and she said “my order already returned to the warehouse because I didn’t pick up in 2 days. I have to reorder the item.” I knew that my order is still there so I tried to explain when I got the email and what email said. But she didn’t listen at all and tried to talk over me. Then she ignored and left me. Her attitude is unprofessional. I was not rude. I’m not kind of person. I didn’t give her any bad attitude. I just asked to her “can you listen?” Because she didn’t listen to me. Because of I’m Asian woman??? Because my English is not perfect ? Her action made me feel like that.I had to talk to other staff to get my order. And then she explained what happened to the male staff. She asked my name again and made sure my order shipped to the store. And then she found my order!!!!!!!!! She just pushed the box to me and said here we go. Is this right?She told me the wrong information at first( my order already returned!) but she didn’t apologize. She waisted my time and gave me super bad attitude. I don’t know why she did like that. She already had a bad day!? But that’s not my fault. I said “I need apologize from you because of your attitude and gave me wrong information.” But she said “Don’t treat me like a child in front of your kids!!!!!“ What !? What’s wrong with her!? I was with my children. My children got shock because of her attitude to me. My children already knew she was wrong before I explained. If she bring about my kids like that she had to be a role model to the kids.We all make mistakes but the important thing is what you do after the mistake. Learn from mistakes or apologize. I don't think she has the ability to be in charge. She showed this attitude to other employees as well. That’s not good for the company.Most worse thing was … she is a store manager. I asked the male staff to let me talk to the store manager and he said that’s her… this is horrible. A manager supposed to solve a problem but she create unnecessary problem. She doesn’t know what customer service is. She has to go to training for that or the company has to change the store manager. I feel sorry to other staff who work at the store. She doesn’t respect any customers. She is a black woman who looks like around 30th years old.I found other people posted bad review about her here. He posted one week ago. So that’s not mine. In this short term at least two customers complained about her. Vans is this all right? I sent email to the company but I received automatic response only. Maybe they don’t care.I purchased clothes and a bag at different Vans stores in this couple month. The store’s locations are in Hawaii and 14th street in New York. Each store staffs are nice & friendly and professional. I was happy to get some good items. But I won’t go to the 5th avenue location anymore. This experience is enough to avoid.

I witnessed the general manager on the floor being rude with others just buying from this store. Made me walk right out the door never have I seen someone clearly unfit for a managerial position nor understand how someone like her even got this position. I was a very frequent shopper at this store until new management came and have seen the slow progression of rudeness, lack of help, and overall an unpleasant time. Chanel if you see this do better, vans used to be so much better last spring. What happened vans? Big let down for sure.

Omg the manager at the cashier is not even looking at people or saying hello. We wanted to buy shoes and told her it would be nice to look at us or say hi. She said you want to shoes ?? 29.95.Ruddest person ever. It seems we are not the only one.Please Vans do something this person must no work in a shop. We ve told other employees.

Literally the most unhelpful and slowest staff on earth, all interactions with the staff were a let down. Members of staff just stepping out in the middle of a conversation and not even acknowledging you again when they're done with whatever they were doing.Checking for a size is literally a process that will require up to an hour and three different members of staff.To check out you need to go a different floor because only specific personnel can check you out... this place is insane

We have never faced with such unpleasant customer service in our life. The guy at the first floor was really nice and helpful, but lady at the -1 floor was arrogant and surly. We haven’t felt so uncomfortable during our stay in NYC like today in this store. It’s unbelievable that someone like her can work in Vans. Totally unacceptable.(09.20.2023)

Excellent selection. Helpful friendly staff of young men that converse with you. Prices were great. 50% second pair was perfect. Walked out with 2 pairs of slip one for $90

My first time visiting NYC and I wanted to get comfy everyday shoes. Highly disappointed by the staff attitude so I ended up leaving to adidas instead where the staff was nice and helpful. Don’t get my wrong, Vans’ sale associate Ady was super helpful in finding attitude to give me as well. Great store.

The best pair of Vans I've purchased since wearing them from 2016. They were at a great price too. I entered the store to see if there was something different from what I've seen before from Vans and I wasn't disappointed when I saw this design. The staff was very attentive and friendly. If I visit NY again, I'll probably go to this specific store again!

Very cool! Lots of selection here. Everything is nicely stocked and organized too. Store was well kept and clean, all staff members were very friendly and attentive! Secured some dope new shoes, so overall it was a great experience! Highly recommended!

It is so refreshing to encounter people in retail that understand customer service and seem to enjoy what they do. While shopping at Vans on 5th Avenue recently, I encountered an employee, Billy, who fits that description. He was professional and kind. He helped me find exactly what I needed. If you’re shopping at this location ask for Billy! As for the store, it was clean and well stocked.
