This stationary is the best one on the UWS.It has everything you can think of. The staff is super sweet the owners are the most fun, friendly and kind people I’ve met; I usually stop by for a quick little conversation usually on my way back home, which makes my evenings:)The fluffy black cat adds to the charm.Do pay a visit to fulfil all your stationary needs:)

Very dishonest. They currently have a senior mobility scooter in the middle of the store with a sign on it that says "New" $800. I know for a fact this was purchased by them slightly used for $300 from someone who couldn't use it. They sold it to the owner of the store at that low price because they were told it was going to be donated to a church! If they would scam seniors that way, what else are they doing. Unbelievable!

Don't go there. Period.I think this place has changed from what the other comments say.The old man who runs it now was not friendly at all, he was rude, didn't smile and was overall looking pissed for no reason. I was trying my best to be nice and he was like "you want these 2 postcards ? Well it needs to be $5, can't charge only $1". So he forced me to pick 6 more postcards, getting a total of $5 + 0.45 of taxes.I did not get such a bad deal in other card shop places so I was very surprised by his attitude. He also didn't seem to care about anything I wanted but my money. Very rude. If it was more I would have given up but $5.45 I guess I could do.But I do not recommend this place, it's probably a scam or at least a money-hungry shop. The notary fees in New York state is $2 so that does not explain the $5. And I don't care what the reason is because I went to so many other shops like this one for postcards and they didn't charge me weird fees.Again, don't go there.

Charged me $5 notary fee. I checked afterward and you can legally only charge $2. Scam.

I love the staff here. They are always so friendly and helpful. It’s a little mom and pop shop and it just feels warm that way. They always have what I’m looking for for my stationary needs. they don’t advertise it much but they offer notary services. I had a hard time finding a notary in the neighborhood bc of the reduced hours and appointments required. Here, I was able to walk in and get it done. Highly recommend this shop!

I must have been going to this wonderful store for over 30 years. They always have whatever I need, and Paul is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. A neighborhood treasure!

I always prefer to go to neighborhood stores, and this one has basically everything you need so you can avoid a trip to a big box. The prices are also competitive, and the service is top notch with people who really know the inventory. Please keep going here so we have a neighborhood place to go.

eh. the place was alright. i asked what the price was for a single scan of artwork and was told “65 cents”, and at the register was charged $2.85. I asked what the upcharge was, he said “$2 to use the computer to send it” huh?? for all that when i asked you the price just tell me it costs 2.85. It’s not a big deal, but nobody likes surprise fees.He initially sent me a PDF file, and when i said no i needed a JPEG for an image he goes “you should’ve told me that”umm, you didn’t ask! and the scan was clearly an artwork not text. atleast i wasn’t charged again, and the scan was good.

I was charged twice the cost of a toner cartridge because I was told by staff that this was the price he saw at the company website. I just bought a mouse that no longer works a week later. Go to Javonic at 111th or the store across from Columbia at 116th. Or even Staples in the 80s. I don't understand all the glowing reviews for this shop.
