“I have had the most frustrating experience with FedEx this week. BUT I would just like to say Bridget who was working tonight was probably the most kind and helpful person ever. She was understanding, helpful and empathetic. As someone who is in customer service management I truly appreciated having someone that new how to deal with a situation with a frustrated customer. I drove over a hour to pick up and my package and wasn't there. She exhausted every option to help she was kind she even made sure to take a personal interest in resolving the issue and I showed up right before closing. She truly goes above and beyond. And I called 1800FedExgo after leaving.....that was ridiculous and pathetic the people on the phone literally put words in my mouth didn't listen to anything I said and made me want to throw my phone out the window. So yes to Bridget but FedEx do better.”
“I definitely had to take the time to write a review because I feel that it's well deserved. I was trying to ship my father a pair of winter boots for Christmas and had first gone to UPS who quoted me $45 to send them to Texas. Considering I had paid a little over $60 for them, I didn't want to spend that much to ship them. Bryan was phenomenal in helping to make the shipping cost slightly more affordable. I still had to pay $30 but his generosity made the price seem more manageable. I just really wanted to get the boots to him since they didn't come in time while he was still living in Massachusetts. Bryan definitely made one headache more tolerable. Thank you.”

“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Daevon at the Altamont Post Office.
I needed to get my passport processed, so I first went to the New Karner Road Post Office because the website clearly stated that walk-in passport hours were Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. When I arrived, there were only two customers in the office—one with an appointment and one other walk-in. Despite the office not being busy and having two employees present, I was told they didn’t have enough staff to process passports. I was even told I could “sit there all day,” even though the employees were standing around and not assisting passport customers. As I was leaving, I saw one of the employees I had just spoken with go outside for a cigarette break. Whether it was an official break or not, it was frustrating because it seemed there was time to help customers who had made the trip based on the posted walk-in hours.
I looked at the list of nearby passport acceptance locations and noticed the Altamont Post Office. Since it was getting close to noon, I wasn’t sure if I would make it in time. I called first, and the person who answered—who I later learned was Daevon—immediately put my mind at ease. He kindly said, “Come on over. Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you.”
From the moment I arrived, I was amazed. Daevon was working completely by himself, yet he handled everything with professionalism, efficiency, and a smile. He was processing passports, accepting packages, helping customers, answering questions, and somehow making everyone feel welcome. It was obvious that the community knows and appreciates him—customers greeted him by name, and he greeted them right back. Watching him multitask so effortlessly while remaining calm, friendly, and genuinely caring was incredible.
Daevon has an outstanding personality and truly cares about the people he serves. He processed my passport efficiently, answered my questions, and never made me feel rushed, even though he was handling the entire office alone. His positive attitude, compassion, and willingness to help turned what had started as a stressful morning into one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had.
In all my visits to post offices throughout upstate New York, this was by far the best customer service I have experienced. I wish there were more employees like Daevon. He is a tremendous asset to the United States Postal Service, and his hard work and dedication deserve recognition.
I would also encourage the United States Postal Service to look into what is happening at the New Karner Road Post Office. I was not the only person who was turned away that day despite arriving during the posted walk-in passport hours. It appeared that employees were simply unwilling or unmotivated to assist customers. The difference between my experience there and my experience with Daevon at the Altamont Post Office was truly night and day.
Thank you, Daevon, for going above and beyond. Your kindness, professionalism, and exceptional work ethic did not go unnoticed. You made a stressful situation easy, and I sincerely appreciate everything you did. Keep up the outstanding work!”

“Not to be confused with the Southbreast, which is the nickname of a girl I knew who was born with a boob where her jayjay was supposed to be.These days I drive everywhere, but when I lived in Southern California (you know nobody walks in LA), ironically I did so without a car, and used to get around using buses and sometimes trains and very often planes. So basically John Candy without the excess weight.I flew to so many airports in the west end of the country on Southwest, from Boise to Portland to Spokane to Seattle to Sacramento, Vegas, Orange County, San Diego, and so many more, according to my flight records (a personal record I keep of all flights I've taken.I was in and out of Albany just once... my partner and love of my life lived in Buffalo, and if it were much cheaper, or if we were heading to NYC, I sometimes flew into other NY state cities or nearby cities. Albany had a much more understated airport than I expected, but it was nice and clean.I can't even count the number of flights I took from Los Angeles International to places like San Diego, Las Vegas, and much further afield back home to New York and Buffalo via other places like Detroit.I used to basically live in LAX although I also flew Southwest to or from places like San Diego and Las Vegas and even from Hollywood (Burbank) once, and John Wayne in Orange County on three occasions when I was living in San Juan Capistrano. And so many more.Southwest Airlines was amazing back in those days, and it's a little bit less great now, but it's still one of the better ones of a bad bunch, and they're still a little bit less likely to be ripping you off for things like baggage and whatnot. And I appreciate that.They're still my favourite airline, even though like most other airlines they've definitely had some major setbacks after 9/11, and in terms of the economy.”
