Had to return a damaged tool that had no warranty. The manager, Vincent, was great, though. I got a 35% discount on the new replacement. Quick and courteous service!!

Deer park store is nice but the Store manager John is not. Bought an item in a box got home found it was used before I purchased it. Went back to just exchange item literally a couple hours later and when I get there the manager JOHN acted like I stole his bike when we were kids. Very bad attitude didn't wanna hear anything telling me the item has scratches and sand on the legs im like I know that's why I'm bringing it back. He just puffed his chest out and said I dont have to do anything I dont want to !!! What a real clown 🤡

I had one of the worst customer service experiences ever at the North Babylon/Deer Park Harbor Freight. On Friday, Dec 6th at around 7:20 PM, I tried to return a heater that I bought a few days earlier from the Massapequa location. The assistant manager, Vincent, looked at the receipt and blatantly lied, telling me they “weren’t hooked up with that store” and couldn’t process the return — even though Harbor Freight is a corporate chain and the receipt clearly states that returns can be made at any location.
When I called the store around 7:45 PM after checking the policy, he suddenly claimed he was “unaware.” Then another associate tried to cover for him by lying and saying “the systems were down.” His attitude was nasty, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Only after I said I had recorded the conversation did they suddenly become willing to take the return.
This experience was dishonest, disrespectful, and unacceptable. I live 3 minutes from this store and will never return here again. I will be reporting this to corporate and BBB as well.
