Went to the ER a few months back. Mind you I am NOT a frequent flyer I hardly ever go so when I do..its prob because I cannot take it anymore. Was in pain...no sleep because umm pain. I told her everywhere I had pain...They had me take my hoodie off for blood pressure..then never gave me a thing to cover up with on the hospital bed so I was shaking. One of the nurses said something to me about withdrawals.. I'm like withdrawals?? I'm fricken cold..they gave me a blanket and wow the shaking stopped what a miracle. They treated me like a drug seeking individual who had nothing wrong with them. A few days prior had an MRI and they found a tumor in one of my glands..I told them that I'm suppose to get a CT in a few days. We'll they got me a CT right away. So I have 1 indication of drug use in my chart if you glance and that's a positive weed result from a a few years ago. They needed my urine first. And I did question what for... the nurse said for pregnancy before the CT. Hmmm. She forgot the part where they drug tested me. I DO NOT need to be tested for pregnancy when 1 my tubes are tied, 2 i have an iud on top of that, and 3 my word. Never did I have a pregnancy test before any other MRI, CT Scan. Why because they ask you...Got the CT scan done they said yep a tumor. You gotta talk to your Dr. They sent me home. A few days went by I checked out my MYCHART. These people!! Just am shocked. The Dr BRENDA CARR documented giving me an exam...THAT NEVER HAPPENED! One place I had pain was my mouth..she NEVER looked in my mouth..Otherwise she would of documented what I saw with my own eyes. Right sides swollen tongue with a nice little hole. And on the inside of my cheek on the same damn side is an abscess. The only thing I had done to me was blood pressure pulse oxygen and temp. Never did she look in my mouth, ears, eyes etc. Never did she even listen to me breathe. Also documented in my MYCHART is that I asked if I could leave and just wanted to "go home and sleep it off"...say what?? You still have to treat my pain no matter what...im so disappointed with my treatment. Pissed

I was given a short window of time to schedule multiple tests for a surgical procedure that will take place out of the area. UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital was able to get me scheduled in quickly, and all of the tests completed, all in less than two hours. Thank you Chenango Memorial Hospital, for helping to alleviate one aspect of my upcoming surgery.

A doctor that speaks clear or better English would be a great start. Trying to discuss plan and treatment options, thought and get opinions from the a doctor and told “up to you” “you choose” “not my decision” not the way to do Patient care.

I TRUST THEM IN THE ER WITH MY LIFE...THUMBS UP AND FIVE STARS FOR THE SUPERLATIVE TREATMENT I ALWAYS RECEIVE...we don't always know what is life or death emergency so my doctor says "when I'm doubt, check it out"... I am very relieved to live in a community that has a great trauma center in their hospital

My experience was very positive. I felt that they treated me as an individual and reassured me that I was in good hands in regards to my upcoming surgery. The new hospital staff and set up for accessibility was impressive and easy to navigate.

UPDATE:After speaking with someone in this department who read my comment, the matter was handled quickly and in a sensitive manner. Thank you UHS for taking care of this issue! The visit itself was wonderful. Sue Button is fantastic and very compassionate. But one of the receptionists needs a training in HIPAA. She told me in front of a stranger in her off time, in a pubic setting about how she knew my mother and her reason for being at cardiology. She gave my mothers first and last name. This left me very uneasy as I too have to be sensitive with personal information. I want this issue fixed.

The check in process is great. The infusion center and ambulatory surgery area is clean and all of the nurses there are awesome and I consider them as angels sent from God.

So the county or state spent all that money on a new ER and improve the hospital. However probably woulda been better to hire some doctors and nurses that actually know how to use the high tech instrument's. They're never staffed and no one has an ounce of compassion. When in emergency room your lucky someone offers you anything or even comes in room more than 1 time.I will never go there for an emergency ever again

The CT/rad staff was cool and friendly. The ER nurses are not at all. When I was triaged the woman was extremely rude and asked multiple times if I smoked/vaped even though I said I didn’t the first time. Typical boomer seeing a 20-something old and wanting to judge. The nurses in the ER came into my room twice for 2 minutes within the span of 4 hours. They sit on their phones and eat takeout instead of actually showing compassion or care for their current patients. Absolutely dreadful healthcare. Do not go here for the ER.

June 29, 2022 I went in because my water had broke. The nurses I had there during the day and night were fantastic! My mom had pretty much all of my siblings there so a lot of nurses I heard about and one of them actually helped deliver me when my mom was in labor. July 1, 2022 when we were getting ready to leave, I had two nurses, they were older, be very rude and nasty to me. I was so happy I was leaving that day because of their attitudes and treatment towards me. One of them checked our car seat and walked out with us. When waiting for my husband to grab the car, the nurse asked me to not get too close to the car seat because my baby didn't have a mask. I thought she was making a joke so I laughed. When my husband brought the car around she started to walk away, with my son, I quickly followed to which she said, "oh, you're with them?" I was so confused. When my husband opened the car door she then said, "where is mom?" I was with her the whole time and standing right behind her!! Just this short, disappointing interaction was enough to ruin my whole experience of having my first child. The nurses should do better to recognize and know who the mother is. Like, what if someone came up and claimed to be the mom? She wouldn't know if it was true or not because she didn't even know I was the mom. All the other nurses were great but that was just so heartbreaking and disappointing...
