“Well here we are 2025 and we are back this is our go to place family-owned friendly. The room did not cool off as I like so I went downstairs and they moved me immediately I am so comfortable it is very hard for the air conditioners right now with such a high index of heat. If you want a place to go that's not the Ritz nor the pits it is a perfect medium for family and someone who wants a good night's sleep, good food, treated as if you were one of the family, and also just all around good customer service. What are you waiting for this is the place to be. Thank you so much Westgate we will see you again and again and again! I forgot to mention they also enhanced their breakfast bar they've got hot food they've got cereal they've got toasts it is amazing

I love this place. You cannot beat a family-run business. My husband I have stayed here and this is my third time staying here. This is my place to come to when I'm going to visit my grandchildren here in New York thank you everybody here at Westgate Inn”

“Stayed here for a wedding, which was also being held at the hotel. Building looks like a castle. Function rooms were large and well appointed. The food that was served at the wedding was very good. Rooms were nice for the most part, although our room did not have a refrigerator and we found the AC to be very loud when it turned on at night (it’ll wake you up). Also, one of the nights we were there, there was a lot of yelling and commotion in the hallways at night.”

“Stayed October 19 - 21. Very comfortable studio room. Very soft bed (but too soft for me), reasonable clean room (minor issues with how well housekeeping cleans). While very appreciative of the free breakfast, I was somewhat disappointed. Not very many options as I'm accustomed too but nevertheless satisfactory. They have a spin on Embassy Suites made to order eggs but clearly less appetizing. I enjoyed the 24hr coffee (specialty), tea, & hot chocolate station in the dining area. The have a nice fitness room (forgot to take pics). 12pm checkout is a plus. I recommend and would return if ever back in the area.Rooms: See picsFood & drinks: Many dining options nearby.”

“Quiet, secluded area. The rooms are very clean, you are in the woods so expect critters to possible be brought or seen in room. But so clean and beautiful area. Hike the many trails, you won't regret it.

Safety: Felt sage the entire stay

Walkability: Lost of walking to do for the views.

Food & drinks: Place has its own restaurant, but pack snacks and anything else you want on the trails, you won't find stores to get things you need.”

“Depending upon which day , will be the stars. This will be my third night here, I think I will probably sleep best tonight and I tried to call the front desk to thank he and the staff here about nobody wanted to answer. And this is not just one phone call . I've been trying to call for over an hour.. I didn't need nor want anything.. just thought I would appreciate the staff, but nope, nobody answers the phone... So, depending on which staff, it's 2-5 stars, location 5 (when the hill is only a sheet of ice) food , definitely a 5 ⭐, there are so many deliveries and pick up places that are 100,% best of NY... Enjoy your stay here as I have!!!”

“I picked this hotel because it was centered for all of my plans I had for Mother's Day. The complimentary breakfast was really good. Travis at guest services was awesome. He signed me up to be a member. We did have a neighbor who was extremely loud but I believe was taken care of later that night.... ...lol..Good Stay overall.”

“The start of our time here was pretty rocky with 2 of our 3 rooms not ready for about two hours after the check-in time. So we had 11 people just sitting in the lobby waiting. The manager and his staff did a great job and found ways to make it right for us, which I sincerely appreciate.

Noteworthy details: The pool is permanently closed.”

“Very nice, very updated, clean hotel!

The hotel has clearly been recently updated. The carpets, furniture, etc was all new.

The breakfast buffet is nice, but I’ve been staying at Marriotts for the last 2 weeks and all of the breakfast buffets were included in our room. This one was $25. It’s all you can eat, so it’s still a good deal. We had a voucher for a free breakfast on the first day because we’re Titanium level. The second day we ordered off the
Menu. I had an omelette and it was delicious! My husband got the all American breakfast and it was very big. He couldn’t finish it. Our waitress, Tania, was amazing! What a wonderful employee they have. She was so helpful, kind, and caring. We felt truly taken care of! She’s the kind of employee who makes a person’s stay a positive experience.

They have a wonderful courtyard in the front of the hotel, that’s beautifully decorated. It was outdoor heaters too.

Sleepy Hollow is only 2 miles away! We actually had no idea when we booked the hotel, but we spent an entire day there walking around. It was very busy as it was just a few days before Halloween.

A couple of things management should be aware of. There are some broken tiles in the hallway (safety hazard). There’s also a tile falling from the wall in the women’s restroom by the lobby that’s been taped up. One of only 3 stalls in the women’s restroom was not working. Two of the three sinks in the men’s restroom weren’t working.

I highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area. Great value for the area.

Nearby activities: Sleepy Hallow is only 2 miles away!”

“Very good stay, friendly front desk staff. Room was much quieter than expected even though right next to a major highway. Was impressed with how quiet it was!!!Breakfast could be a little better not up to par of some Hampton Inn's. Staff at breakfast gave no interaction with guests or help. All in all a very nice overnight stay!!Rooms: Clean room, building seemed secure.”

“Where do I even begin to describe the extraordinary care, dedication, and kindness that Kayla showed while planning and running my bridal shower? She is not just a maître d'—she is a miracle worker who turned one of the most important days of my life into an unforgettable celebration.

From the start, Kayla was patient, attentive, and genuinely invested in making everything absolutely perfect. My mom and I, admittedly, were not the easiest clients—we called her almost every day leading up to the shower, adding new requests and last-minute changes that probably piled onto her workload. But not once did she make us feel like a burden. Instead, she handled every call, every question, and every request with incredible grace, kindness, and the attitude of, “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it.” And she truly did.

Kayla gave us everything we asked for and so much more. She coordinated with the DJ, worked tirelessly with her team, and ensured the hall was decorated more beautifully than we could have ever imagined. The staff she brought in were just as wonderful—attentive, professional, and efficient—and the food was absolutely incredible. Every single guest commented on how delicious everything was, and the presentation was stunning.

One of the most thoughtful things Kayla did was provide my mom and me with a private room to change, which was so important to us for religious reasons. She went out of her way to make sure it was secure and comfortable, which made all the difference to us. And even amidst running the entire show, Kayla didn’t forget about my fiancé. Although he only stopped by for one dance, she prepared a special to-go box for him—a small but incredibly meaningful gesture that truly showed how much she cares.

But what truly made Kayla special was the way she cared for us. She wasn’t just doing her job—she became part of our family that night. My mom was so moved by Kayla’s dedication, kindness, and attention to detail that she literally cried while thanking her. She even told Kayla she felt like she was a daughter to her. That moment captured exactly what makes Kayla unique: her ability to connect with people and make them feel so cared for and valued.

Kayla, you are an absolute treasure. Your thoughtfulness, kindness, and hard work turned what could have been a stressful day into the perfect celebration. My mom and I will never forget how you went above and beyond for us. Thank you for everything you did to make my bridal shower a memory we will cherish forever.

With all my love and gratitude,

Sanah Jamal”

“The staff here is amazing and that's what has made my stay really memorable. Unfortunately I don't know all the staff members names, but at the very least I would like to mention Nilima. She has been top notch and always going out of her way to be helpful. There are other staff at the front desk and even the cleaning ladies have been super amazing. If I ever have a problem they do whatever they can to jump into action and fix it or if I ever need anything they go out of their way to get it for me as fast as they can. And on top of this all, this Motel is the cheapest of all the Motel's and Hotel's in the area. The only downside is that there is no fridge or microwave in the room however there is a microwave and an ice machine in the lobby so for the price I have no problem making due. Last but not least this place is pet friendly and they don't charge anything extra for my little guy and that is huge for me!

Rooms: The rooms are decent for the price. They have been modernized over the years, but could use an update. Overall I'm happy with this hotel.

Nearby activities: There is a mall in White Plains called the White Plains mall and a mall across the bridge in Nyack called the Palisades.

Food and drinks: There are a few great places to eat in the area. I highly recommend Pete's Saloon, Maxwell's Pub, Sawmill Tavern and Ardsley Cucina.”

“We had an amazing experience! The staff was exceptionally nice and caring. The food at the grill was delicious and plentiful. Lots of variety and tasty options. We ordered some spiked drinks at the bar and it was great. The room was clean and smelled fresh. There are beautiful walkways along the Hudson River with gorgeous views!
All in all we had a beautiful time and would definitely come again.”
