“As someone unfamiliar with the shipping process, I encountered a very nice staff member here. He clearly explained what I needed to do, making the entire process quick and comfortable. Additionally, the location is easily accessible and parking is convenient.”
“Every time I go in there they workers are having a party, swinging from the lamps, dancing, blaring the music, drinking cocktails. I think I smell weed sometimes too. I usually hang out for a couple of songs and then leave buzzed, I usually forget to mail my letters LOL. Did anyone ever play that game with with the postage scale they are always playing? SO FUN!”
“This is the best post office in my area. Any time I use this post office to send a pkg or letter it gets sent out very quickly and tracks immediately. The people who work there are very polite and helpful. I will not use any other post office for my mail needs.”
“Postal workers here have always been polite and helpful; however, Jesse deserves special mention:
We were expecting a shipment of live chicks. Tracking the shipment, we discovered that it had been delayed at Jamaica and was scheduled to be delivered the following day instead -- Obviously not great for live baby birds.
Jesse helped investigate -- and when they arrived later in the day, he drove them over to our house personally to deliver them!
(FYI, for those who don't raise chickens and wonder how they can survive the trip: Before they hatch, chickens absorb the remains of the yolk inside the egg and use it for nutrition/hydration over the first two or three days. A heat pack is added to the box to help them stay warm, and obviously there is special care in handling and delivery.)”
“I love the convenience and location of this post office. You can easily find parking and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. There are off peak times, when I have been in and out for a few minutes. I’ve gone in and done returns and they even scan QR code so they’re pretty high-tech. Highly recommend this location.”
“I left many packages at post offices in different districts, the whole team working here is very solutional and friendly. I don't know English very well and despite this, they solve all my needs and problems. I don't write that sharing names is prohibited, but I thank the entire team individually. “My first visit here was a good one, and when I have a good experience I like to let others know. Especially when most visits to USPS locations are usually not the most pleasant. Not this day at this location though! So let's celebrate, I was in and out in a couple minutes. The lonely gentlemen behind the counter just received a huge order from the customer before but it didn't take long at all(a minute most) and he was helping me with my few pieces of mail and off I went. Very nice...I hope you have a similar experience!”
“I Go to the Coram post office almost every day. The clerks at the windows are some of the nicest, most professional people you'll ever deal with. Ken,Jennifer,Joe and John are Exceptional! The USPS are lucky to have them. Keep up the good work guys!”

“One of my packages had gone missing, and I stopped by just four minutes before closing, fully expecting to be turned away! Instead, the manager went above and beyond. She took the time to open whatever she needed to and made sure I got the answers I was looking for. She was kind, professional, and incredibly determined to help. Thanks to her efforts, she was able to track down where the package was. It was then delivered to my house the next business day! It's not often you see that level of care and follow-through. Huge thank you to the manager and the team for turning a frustrating situation into a great customer service experience!”
“Impeccable service, professionalism knowledgeable. This staff goes above and beyond they treated me so kind. They were so helpful so on point with everything that needed to be done for me the way they treat their customers. The people in their community is just amazing. They were so caring to my needs. They helped me figure everything out and got me all set and I can’t say thank you enough to Brianna and the other ladies that helped us I want to say thank you so much for helping me today and going above and beyond as they did I appreciate them so much, you just don’t get service like that anymore. “I'm constantly reminded that I should always come here any and every time I go to the Smithtown location.Never once have I had one single issue here in fact the service here is always very respectful and they go out of their way to be helpful and friendly. If you go to Smithtown you will most likely be greeted with the exact opposite service. Do yourself a favor, don't go to Smithtown.”
“Came here to mail out a package on a Saturday right before closing when all other post offices were already closed. Within minutes from closing, Jake was super friendly and helpful and did not appear rushed or agitated. He greeted everyone with a nice smile and even made some lighthearted jokes. Thank you Jake for brightening my day as I’m sure the same went for the other customers you had ahead of me.”

“I do a lot of shipping here, there almost weekly, and yes sometimes the wait is longer but I’ve experienced that at many different post offices- this location is different because they work very fast to make all transactions as easy and efficient as possible- I’ve seen the staff help people out and giving customers information to make their shipping cheaper- very patient and knowledgeable, this is my number one spot for my mailing needs- I’m being totally honest, they really are great here-”
“I am writing a review simply because this is a post office and many reviews are missing the mark. This location is great, Chris and Michael are very polite and courteous! Sometimes there is a line, which is inevitable, also it stinks to have to wait a while to buy a book of stamps but I’ve adjusted and typically buy 2-3 of them at a time.
The space is always clean, they have plenty of other items in stock and my mail has never suffered delays or being lost! Again, it’s a post office, given the major macro changes in their governing bodies, perhaps any complaints should be sent there as they may help the staff who are dealing with much uncertainty.”

Obviously the building ownership and management isn't any different than any other post office what made the difference was the person we dealt with. Xavier was the first truly happy and kind post office service worker I've came in contact with. His genuine friendliness made for a great experience.”

“I went specifically here due to reviews after being told my save the dates for my wedding were too thick with a wax seal to mail by other post offices. I was so close to having to open every single envelope and do it all over again. Until I went here! The clerk Danielle was so helpful! She made sure I had the right stamp that way it will be hand cancelled and won’t be an issue when mailing. She was so polite and even ran to make sure my postage made it on the truck for the day! I can’t thank her enough! She saved me HOURS of my time and HOURS of my hard work! I will definitely be coming back to Oakdale post office to send out my wedding invites! :)”
