They take some trade ins , sell new and gently used photo gear. Staff is amazing to work with . Easy parking , small quantity of, but good stores in shopping center . Easy access and fairly close to LIE495 .

Just really disappointed in the way they do business. Called for a sought after camera. Said he has one in stock and that it’ll sell that day. Tell him I’ll be there in 10 minutes. Drive over with my baby in tow rushed to get there. Comes out yelling at his employee saying he just sold it on eBay. Not sure if that’s part of the performance. I get it, I run a business. But man that entire experience was shitty. Tried to do business locally but when a 10 minute drive can’t get you a product on good business word idk what local business experience is supposed to feel like now. Ended up taking my biz to a diff local shop in syosset.

Just wanted to share my experience with this company. I had been searching for Arken optics 2 of them I wanted an EP8, and a EP5, I had done all my homework and was ready to buy, so off to the Internet, everyone I went to were sold out or on back order, even Amazon, and Arken themselves. I'm in Florida and this camera optic store came up in my search, in New York, they had both in stock!!! Was shocked!!.. so put in the cart finished my order, called couple of hours later, spoke to a gentleman there he pulled my order up, and they shipped that afternoon the 12th! Had them at my house in Florida the afternoon of the 14th!.. not sure how you guys had them in stock, and better pricing then Amazon that didn't have in stock!.. but when I look for my 3rd Arken which I want a SH4 next, rest assured you guys will be my first stop! All of the employees here are friendly and down-to-earth, and the one who appears to be the owner, the kind old man, will talk straight to you about the value of your items. The place is fun to explore, too. It's one of the few places left with any real personality anymore. Definitely a place to go to buy or sell.

After only having experience with older film cameras, I decided I wanted a modern digital camera. I went to the store to look at some options thinking I had an idea of what I wanted. I spoke at length with Scott who went over a lot of the features and advancements of modern mirrorless cameras with me, and let me experiment with a new Canon R7. I took a week to do some thinking, reading and watching product reviews, cross shopping other cameras... And realized everything else I was looking at was a compromise, and the R7 actually was the best choice when it came to what I was looking for within the amount I was willing to spend. I'm looking forward to learning new things with my new camera, and a huge thank you to Scott for taking the time to work with me!

I was looking for a good quality pair of binoculars and did my research then started shopping around for the best prices. Doug returned my email right away and we talked on the phone about his recommendations and he gave me pricing. He also steered me away from spending $300 more on three other pairs of binoculars I was interested in. One of which had recently changed warranty policies that would not benefit the customer. I paid him a deposit to hold a demo pair that I was pretty sure I wanted.
The next day I talked to another man whose name I cannot remember, but he was equally helpful and we talked about 80’s metal for a while. I bought my binoculars and they were delivered promptly.
I would encourage prospective customers to give Cameraland a shot. I ended up paying 5% more than the absolute best price I could find. That 5% bought me the subject matter knowledge that ensured I would be happy with my purchase. The type of business that Cameraland represents is a dying breed. If they don’t have the absolute lowest price it’s still probably worth it to avoid regretting the purchase.
