Honestly, I was going to this school until 3 years ago when I went away for college. It’s a great place if you are able to find the right teachers, however that is probably rare. The teachers were underpaid, and they weren’t trained properly due to the director poor work ethic and need to charge crazy prices. This is an opinion I had since I started attending the school when I was 12. Overall get to know the teachers first before you start booking classes!

I absolutely loved learning how to play the piano here. All the staff were very lovely, and over time I grew a close bond with all of my teachers. In addition to that, I received magnificent, extensive instruction in music lessons and theory, fully equipping me to take the music world by the horns. Attending this music school was nothing short of fantastic, and I highly recommend it to anyone eager to learn how to play an instrument.

Do not trust this school with your credit card, and follow that logic. The main teacher is a high-pressure salesperson who won't accept no for an answer. They will try and sell you a $20,000 piano when you go for a free lesson. One trip for a free lesson here cost me nearly $700. Total Fraudsters.

PLEASE NOTE THIS REVIEW IS FOR THEIR SALES PRACTICES AND NOT THEIR MUSIC LESSONS! We were thinking of signing up for piano classes for my son and decided to check this place out as it's in the area. My son had been taking classes at school and so we wanted him to continue outside of school and try a couple classes a month. So my hubby setup an appt for us to go there. Now my hubby being who he is gave me as little info as possible. He told me we had an appt on a Sat. I think we'd go in, do a tour, they'd evaluate him, get prices and that would be it. He mumbled something about 2 hours. I didn't pay any attention to him thinking he's crazy. Why would a simple visit to the school take 2 hours. It would be a 1/2 hour at the most. So we go there I parked the car at meter parking allowing for an hour, just in case. They had us fill out some paperwork, my hubby filled it out. Then after a few minutes of waiting we meet with someone who took us downstairs. He took my son into a class where we wait outside and he gave him a lesson. He was a very nice, upbeat person and we could view the lesson via a glass window. Anyway after the lesson he took us in to see the "Director". This is where it all went downhill and I quickly realized what we were in for. He gave us a speech about music and went on about the following points: why should I accept your child to this school music is like a subject you take in school for the parents to decide and not the child he didn't accept every student that applied music is something you always take with you throughout your life if you start taking classes you have to come every week music should not be viewed as an extracurricular activity has 800-900 kids that go to his school in a given week need to commit for 24-48 months to learn music, theory, instrument etc I agreed with most of his points but I was just coming in to get a price on a lesson, not make a commitment for the next two years. In the midst of this I had to run out and put more money in the meter. He stopped his spiel until I returned to the room. He then proceeded to go over the price of the lesson. It is $39 per week if you provide them with seven referrals. You can also add another child for $9 per week if you give another seven referrals. The price was ok. I didn't care to refer my friends and family. I didn't think it was terrible but I had a feeling in the pit of my stomach that this was all wrong. He wanted us to sign up there and then. I told him we were merely checking out places and we weren't committing at this time. This is when he got a little annoyed. He said if we changed our mind in the future there may not be a space for him. This was a complete turnoff. I really don't appreciate being strong-armed into anything. I know a well rehearsed sales pitch when I hear one. Sorry if I'm rambling on but I just want to give a full account of what happened. It reminded me of being in one of those timeshare presentations.

I went here when I was a pretty small. It was a good head start but they could teach better. I'd know since I'm a jazz pianist now. They are great for smaller kids but could change techniques.

No bad experience here, my daughter enjoy her lessons and then come home to practice on the piano. The price for the piano is not bad and it was amazing that they delivered within 1 day. And for $40 per lesson is reasonable.

the school needs to teach teachers well, or train them. Some teachers leave the kids without checking on them if they don't ask for help. If you don't ask any help you're basically self learning. However, this is the case only with some teachers. They do cost way to much for what i have learned in 2 years. i feel like i could've learned them at home by myself. I do not recommend these classes, because they aren't worth the money that you are asked to pay. There should be better places to learn from.

My son went here and the instruction was as good as whoever your child was matched with. Some are great others go through the motions. The big reason for the negative review comes with the piano purchased with the lessons $4700. We figured the product (italian made and reputable company) was good and if my son didn't do well here we could go elsewhere and still have a decent piano. The Galileo Milano II worked great for a while but then just stopped working. A call to the company (we were out of warranty) revealed my model was a chinese and not italian model. They have no replacement parts or manuals. When I called the school they stressed the 1 year warranty and basically said take this number and if they don't workout google a repair man... GOOD LUCK. The gentleman on the phone, Matt, couldn't get me off the phone fast enough. Now I'm in search of someone who can do boardwalk trouble shooting. DON't send your child here and DON't buy any of their products.
