The Central
300 Railroad Ave, PeekskillIf you're heading to a show at the Paramount Theatre or catching a train in Peekskill, The Central is a convient spot. It's a casual café-bistro set inside a historic old railroad station right on Railroad Avenue a cool building, great character, and the actual tracks running right alongside. Outdoor seating available but fair warning: when a train passes, it gets loud. Part of the charm I guess. My friend and I grabbed seats at the bar before an 8pm show and both went with the Kelly Burger simple, satisfying, and reasonably priced. Exactly what you want when you need a quick, solid bite without overthinking it. We ate fast and made it to the Paramount with time to spare.The vibe is casual and welcoming works for couples, groups, families, pretty much anyone. Not the place for a quiet intimate dinner, but if you're looking for a relaxed spot with personality in downtown Peekskill, this is it. Open until 11pm, and parking is free on weekends and after 6pm on weekdays a nice bonus. Would definitely return, especially before another show.

5 John Walsh Blvd, PeekskillWant to say a huge THANK YOU to Courtney. She was so helpful when 5 other families and I spent the day at spins. There was a slight mix up on timing of laser tag and she was so sweet to accommodate us to a different time. Thank you Courtney for going above and beyond to make sure the kids were safe and having fun on the ropes course -- you even climbed up there in heels! You're amazing and we all appreciate you so much. We have been to spins a bunch of times but today was by far the best time. The kids had a blast and the service was awesome.

55 Hudson Ave, PeekskillFun spot by the water. The tacos are delicious, especially the cactus taco and special fish tacos. The train horns are annoying (restaurant is next to the station) but it doesn’t last long. Great sunset views.
