Worst rx ever. Incompetence and idiocy
-

Mixed bag. Experience totally depends on the luck of the draw staff you get. I went in today 5/27 at 10 am and Renu (at the front) was brilliant, truly went above and beyond, as was the consulting pharm tech at that hour. That said, when I called to check the status of my prescription at 6 pm I encountered one of the worst pharm techs ever.
Verbatim this was the dialogue: “Hi, what time is the pharmacy open until becau—“ “9 pm. See you then” and then the man hangs up! I then call back and he provides me false information, that they are out of stock of my meds. Thankfully, I know that to be untrue and challenge him saying, “Well no I was informed earlier that you do have this in stock, which is why my psychiatrist sent you the script” he then puts me again on hold says, “Nevermind. It was filled. It’s $298” without an ounce of empathy. $300 for a 30 month supply?! After I ask if other alternatives are available, he then tells me it’s CVS policy to not tell you of their inventory when it comes to certain drugs and you need to send a script first. Based on his competence, I’m not sure if that’s true, but if it is, how on earth does that make sense? So the expectation is for the customer to contact the psychiatrist and have them go through every possible alternative and individually send scripts to pharmacies to only find out if it’s available after? That is such a waste of money (in appointment costs) and time for both psychiatrists and patients.

I work for a dental office and many of our patients complain about this pharmacy and that their medications that were called in or E-prescribed not being filled or delayed. I have waited long times on hold to speak to a pharmacist and they constantly hang up on you. On a personal note, I have tried to schedule vaccination shots and my appointment was cancelled the same day. I have waited on the pharmacy line for over 25 mins during a lunch break. Would not recommend this location to patients or friends

There standard going bad day by day. Everytime I come here they have issue with prescription. They send me text rx ready. When I come nothing there. My doctor send me proof as he sends the prescription and I show them that proof but they don’t accept it. Waited for 2 hours to get medicine. The store should be closed or need little professionalism

Anna, the pharmacist, has no regard for patient care. She is extremely rude and lacks complete empathy for the patient and the situation. She not only handled my case extremely disrespectfully, but kept berating me about their closing time and that there’s nothing she can do. She did not even want to speak with the emergency doc at Plainview Hospital for my emergency refill. I had to ask her several times and every so second, she kept staring down at me with the same face saying “there’s nothing I can do, we need to close”. If I could give negative stars to this pharmacy location, I really would, they are extremely negligent in all cases! I even called the pharmacy yesterday and the automated line told me my meds would be ready, but when I go in person it’s a different case. If there’s two different scenarios, then they need to start picking up their phone calls to make the patient aware. It’s truly disgusting.

If I could give zero stars I would, the past couple months this cvs location has been giving me issues about filling my prescription and giving me what I need especially what my insurance wants me to get, they’ve given me attitude about it when I tried explaining that I’ve gotten a bigger vial at this location before and them telling me they don’t fill that size because the med expires after 30 days which it does not! Which resulted in me only getting 2 vials! This last week was the last straw I needed a refill after a month of course due to that so my doctor sent over a new script I got a text saying they couldn’t refill it until 7/6 which is fine I knew that already because of how it works with this medication but I check the app 7/6 to see if it’s ready to pick up and it says they can’t fill it! And I got no call or anything to explain why, I had my doctor send it to a different cvs location and guess what that different cvs location filled it within one day of receiving the prescription!! And they filled it for 4 vials! So I don’t know what the problem is with the cvs in Plainview or what their issue is but I know I won’t ever be using them again, wish they would be more compassionate and understanding with people who get technically life saving medication and that they wouldn’t give attitude when you try explaining things to them especially since the first time time they also told me my insurance didn’t approve it and when I told them I called my insurance already and they told me they approved it I got an even bigger attitude from the person on the phone so I won’t be using Plainview cvs again

Not sure why the pharmacy at this location is so overburdened and unable to cope. Always, always, always a long line for pickup. They’re trying hard but it’s just not worth it. It’ll be my last Rx here.

Th CVS Pharmacy is constantly understaffed and you wait in line for decades, only to find out your RX hasn't been filled from 5 hours ago when it was called in from your Doctor. Tell me why are the techs ungloved when dispensing meds? Their hands, palms, fingers etc. are all over every medication- how disgusting! Isn't there a standard of dispensing meds that requires better safety and hygiene?

My experience at CVS has deteriorated to the point that I am starting to look for an alternative.

The worst Pharmacy ever. Hires the RUDEST customer services representatives. I had to transfer over from Walgreens to CVS (only due to Insurance changes) and was out of my medication. On asking by when they will be able to collect the medication as it is mandatory medication I need everyday--the person on the phone mentioned that they will get it done when they can as they are very busy- For real ??? No time commitment and zero empathy towards a patient who is trying to get their medication. Avoid at all costs if you can !!!
