Pros:Regrettably, there are no redeeming qualities to highlight from my stay at Holiday Inn Plainview-Long Island. This was not a hotel, likely a converted medical facility.Cons:Cleanliness:The room was shockingly dirty, with visible mold on the walls and a musty odor that permeated everything. It was clear that cleanliness is not a priority for this establishment.Odor Issues:The room not only reeked of mold but also had a pervasive smell of weed. The stench in the fitness area was so bad that it burned my nose. This is completely unacceptable and added to the overall unpleasant atmosphere.Mold Issues:The ceilings in the halls were in a state of disrepair from repeated leakage of water. Parts of the ceiling were collapsing, raising serious concerns about the mold dangers present throughout the building.Overall Experience:My stay at Holiday Inn Plainview-Long Island was a regrettable mistake. The combination of filth, mold, a pungent weed smell, and mold issues left me questioning the integrity of this establishment.Suggestions for Improvement:Immediate attention to cleanliness issues, including mold removal and thorough room inspections.Enforce a strict no-smoking policy to eliminate the offensive odor.Urgent mold assessments and repairs to ensure the safety of guests. Conclusion:I strongly advise against staying at Holiday Inn Plainview-Long Island. The conditions I experienced were not only unsanitary but also potentially hazardous. My hope is that this feedback prompts the necessary improvements to bring the motel up to basic standards.

My husband and I flew in on a red eye and the staff was gracious enough to allow us an early check in. The rooms were nice and spaceous. Not to mention that the whole place was decorated for Christmas. Very beautiful. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. Francisco helped us with pretty much everything. We ate at the morning Cafe and then dined in the evening at the bar area. Ambience was great and the staff at the bar and diner were super accommodating. We had a great experience and when we come back to NY we will stay here again. Thank you Holiday Inn staff for a good time. ?

I travel a lot for work and have stayed in nice places and really bad ones, but based on the previous negative reviews you would expect it to be bad but after staying here you quickly learn it isn't true. The rooms were nice/clean to sleep and rest, quiet enough to do some work and the fitness room was also good with free weights. Lastly, the hospitality from the restaurant staff to the hotel Manager (Francisco) was phenomenal. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to rest in a nice bed and quiet room. The staff really makes the difference.Noteworthy details: The food in this hotel is also really good.

We have historically been big fans of this place sadly, no longer. However, will stay nearby and come enjoy the bar & restaurant services and superior staff. To be clear bar & restaurant service 5 ⭐️. Be cautious with menu offerings now, dishes that once were good, are not. They do still have room service on Thursday, Friday and Saturday! Our room didn’t have a microwave which we discovered when attempting to heat coffee from a pot we purchased from the restaurant. Ms. Lydia explained that our room had insufficient power to handle a microwave (same $$ as a room that can), but we were welcome to walk 300 or so yards to a “community” microwave if we wanted to heat our coffee. We were given room 101, a corner room off the main lobby near two exit doors. This is a busy and very noisy location as doors loudly open and close throughout the night. We travel often and are “elite” members. When we inquired to use the late check out perk, Ms. Lydia responded we failed to read the fine print. She said it was only if available and it wasn’t available because they were short on housekeepers and supposedly were “sold out” . We had been there four days and knew very well they weren’t sold out. We made the decision to speak with the manager, Patrick who kindly explained to us what his employees did wrong. Too many other options to pay full fare for not even the basics. Best to Mike, Ethan & Jose! You’re lovely! Be well, stay awesomeRooms: OldFood & drinks: Room service Thursday, Friday & Sat

Rooms are clean, everyone was friendly.Had two incidents, first the first night, a circuit breaker popped, and the alarm went off.Second was 4 nights later, the fire alarm went off because they had a leak and it shorted out the alarm. There rooms are set around the pool and all conversations are heard in the rooms in the corridors. The staff tries to keep the people quiet, but more times then not people are talking loud. Happened almost every night.

Do yourself a favor and book anywhere anywhere else besides this motel disguised as a hotel. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the people working the restaurant were awesome and very attentive. We liked our breakfast and coffee.Unfortunately, the rest of the stay was below standard. The room and hallways smelled like weed. Fire alarms went off multiple times in the evenings. The section we were in looked nothing like rooms online. Most of us were assigned rooms that were windowless.Cheap Led lights, low ceilings, leaking shower. All around one of the worst hotels ever ?Run.

Hubby and I decided to stay here for a night. We just wanted to try the pool on a hot summer day. Today we can’t plan anything far ahead due to the unpredictable weather. One day is hot, the next day rain, and after that, lightning and thunder. We stayed one night and used the pool for two days. The front desk staffers were friendly. We had Francisco welcome and check us in, and Patrick handled our checkout. I asked for a late checkout and was able to extend it. So we could swim more. So thankful! We had a room on the ground floor near the pool. The room was clean, quite big, with a high bed. It was a good room, no issue. Breakfast and lunch were served at the restaurant by the lobby called Bistro 46. We had a good and peaceful stay here.

Rooms are alright. You can tell it’s old. Being on first floor is horrible bc you hear everything. Lydia is amazing. The young kid that takes care of Morning restaurant also amazing. Parking is fine. Inexpensive, somewhere to sleep. Coffee is actually strong and good though.

If paying decent hotel pricing for a cheap run down motel is your plan then this is your place. The only saving Grace here is the staff.I travel constantly for work and stay in a mostly IHG properties. Once in a while I regret picking a holiday inn, this is one of those times.First I must say, the staff was professional and helpful. The hotel is very obviously a motel that they attempted to make seem like a hotel. They failed. It feels like what it truly is, a junky motel. The layout is horrible, this is from enclosing the outdoor motel entrances to look like a hotel. Because of this you don’t get a window. The entire place is super noisy. Everyone that walks by your room, opens or closes a door, flushes a toilet, sneezes, doesn’t matter it’s likely to wake you up. The rooms and hallways are run down and outdated. Floors had lots of permanent staining. This morning I went to the desk to check out and go stay elsewhere. The person at the desk was polite and professional. He understood my issues. It was then that I found out they also don’t have a breakfast. This would have been one star but the staff handling things well made me give a second.

I've been staying at this location with my family for over 15 years and have always enjoyed our stay. This time our visit wasn't as pleasant. First of all the room looked like they tried to update on a budget but huge fail. Carpet falling off the wall, chipped paint, cracked toilet, stained tub. I'm 6'2 shower stall was sooo small, I could barely stand straight up. No free breakfast at all anymore. We stayed 5 days-Hotel has definitely gone down hill. Sad to see this happening.

Very nice rooms. Large beds, clean sheets, awesome pillows. They have a very nice lobby downstairs and offer a coffee bar. They have a superb bar downstairs with a top shelf menu! 5/5!

We love the entrance and parking itself. Hotel said we are not responsible for any damage or theft from parking lot I wanna know then who will be responsible. It’s hotel parking provided by hotel must be hotel responsibility. Rooms are very small and kinda smelly. Hotel staff are really niceAnd helpful. Keep up the good work team!

The hotel is dated and oddly laid out. Key cards frequently stopped working and the staff were short and not overly friendly. The food however, was good. I ordered a Cajun chicken pasta and it was nice and spicy; the roasted tomatoes were sweet and balanced it well. The side salad that was nearly an extra $10 was literally just greens.

Bistro 42 is the reason to visit this property. While it comes up as a stand alone restaurant, it is in the Holiday Inn.It was one of the better hotel meals I have had. The wedge salad was fresh and crisp. The salmon was cooked perfectly. The vegetables could have been hotter. The presentation was adequate. Serving size was good. The bartender Ethan was an old school professional, casual yet attentive.Plenty of free parking.
