“Super cool bookstore, but not pleased with my blind book purchase. I really love store like this—there’s always something fun to discover, and the prices seem reasonable for used books. The one guy on staff was cool, too. Great selection of used books.

However, I feel let down with my only purchase. Our blind book turned out to be a used book with many pages highlighted. And the price we paid was more than the book’s original list price, and about the same as the current printing’s list price. But on Amazon, this book new would be cheaper.

So essentially I paid more for a used book. In the end, it’s not really about saving a couple bucks. Rather, it’s the feeling of getting a bad deal. You would expect that the risk of the unknown would be offered with a discount, right? I’m still giving 4 stars just because I like quirky independent stores like this.”
