This store (as well as the store in Red Hook) have made a 180 turnaround in the last 6 months. Before, you could hardly get an Rx filled and the staffing was very minimal. Things have clearly changed as both locations are much more accessible for our needs.

Normally, I wouldn't think it necessary to write a review for a generic chain as large CVS, but, unfortunately, this location's pharmacy has gone downhill to the point where even physicians have warned me against using it for my prescriptions. Having never had a bad experience with them before, I kept them as my preferred pharmacy when my son needed antibiotics for Strep...I called an hour after I left the pediatrician's office because I normally receive a text after a prescription has been ordered, telling me they are working on it, but I didn't receive anything. When the pharmacist picked up the phone, I asked about my prescription and when it would be ready, and she told me that they were out of stock...and then dead silence... no, "Oh, sorry, I was just about to notify you" or "I've gone ahead and forwarded it to another CVS in the area where it's available." She just said, "It's out of stock... You'll have to call around to other CVS locations to see if they have it." So, first of all, if I had not called, no one would have notified me that my son's medication was unavailable and I never would've gotten it, and, secondly, she was unwilling to look up on her computer where the medicine was in stock...It was very strange. Luckily, the second CVS store I called (the location on Route 44 across from Adam's) had a helpful pharmacist who immediately gave me the address and phone number of a CVS location that had the prescription in stock...which made it even more apparent just how bad the customer service at the Pleasant Valley location was. Even though this is the closest location, I do my best to avoid it now because of the terrible (but accurate) reputation. Hopefully, they will improve their service, but I'm going to fill my scripts elsewhere in the mean time.

I started using CVS years back when I was working close to this location. I no longer work nearby & travel to this location due to the courteous and usually prompt service I received. But in the last several years the competence of the staff along with their attitude is a big disappointment to say the least. I was able to depend on the auto calls to alert me to a filled prescription. But several times that I have been notified to pick up, when I arrived the prescriptions were not ready and I was told not able to refill, for some up to 3 weeks. I asked, why was I called and was told to call corporate, I have also run out of meds due to their errors. I was once given a prescription that I did not recognize, so I called my doctors office & was told they did not order it & be sure not to take it. Only so much can be blamed on Covid. CVS corporate should pay attention to the counter line & not just profit margins. I do not know if other pharmacy's are better or not but I believe it is time for a change.

Gee we don’t have your extremely common blood pressure med in stock. We will order, don’t know when it will be there and when it is the pharm is rude, asks if im allergic to a med, and doesn’t bother to explain blue pill dispensed to a blue dye allergic customer. Too much work for less than an hour after opening for her

Phone menu won’t refill my rx and says I need to speak with a pharmacist but no matter how many times I call or how long I hold no one will answer the phone. My scripts here have never shown up on my online account either, so I really need to speak with someone.

They are terrible now, getting worse daily. If you need medication on a certain day, go somewhere else, they can’t be counted on to even be there.

They’re doing a pretty good job, and you can tell they’re busy and working hard.however, no fault of theirs but the website doesn’t allow you to load your prescription s and it doesn’t really work properly which is a little bit annoying and they are closed on Sundays and I just feel that they should have a few more ways that you can manage your prescriptions especially since every time you call it’s at least 15 minutes on hold but the staff was very friendly and is working very hard. Improved website functionality would make prescription management much more convenient and less of a hassle.

Less than one star! Worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. Horrible customer service. They never answer the phone for customers or doctors. Medicine is never filled or ready for pick up. Don’t use them unless you like wasting your time! ??

I went in to check what meds were being renewed during morning hours last week, talked to staff. 2 meds were in process and one would be ready in 15 minutes. I shopped a little while waiting. All 3 meds were ready in less than 15 minutes. Quick, pleasant, helpful visit in Pleasant Valley CVS.

I have been trying to call them for two days and no one in the Pharmacy picks up. My Mother went down there on Monday at 3 pm to find the gates down. Does anyone know if they closed this branch. I cant get through to anyone.

Can't keep staff in pharmacy, nearby location had everyone walk out, waiting unreasonable long times for scripts, and that's if they have them. Wouldn't use if my insurance would let me go elsewhere.

Now closed on Sundays as of 10/1/23. It takes at least a week or two to get the medications you call in for refills. Expect to always have to wait either in store or in the car pickup line.

Worst pharmacy ever! If I could give 0 stars I would. You refill a prescription and it takes days if not weeks to process, you get notifications your prescriptions are ready but when you go to pick up they’re not and they ask you to wait for another 20-30min. Terrible terrible service. Switching pharmacies to one further away because I cannot deal with this nonsense anymore.
