“Anyone who hates the post offices in White Plains, please come to this one! I did something wrong when I changed my address online and the staff here helped me to solve it! Thanks a lot!”

“Great little post office. Never a line and Joe is always super friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra mile for you. I had to send a package that didn't quite fit in the standard box and he took the time and effort to bend, fold and tape it all together so I could send it. Way more than he needed to do!”
“Easily the best post office I’ve ever used. They have a parking lot (!!) and I’ve gotten to know both postmasters and most of the clerks over the past decade. The staff is professional and efficient and even though at busy times it backs up easily (credit a lot of privileged suburbanites who use the USPS all of once a year and equally unprepared college kids from the two local schools), I have always trusted this post office and the excellent service and support they’ve long given me and my business.”
“Karina is new Post Master.Though very busy she ww helpful, efficient and kind when yet another Amazon Prime package went astray. Starting to wonder whether Amazon Prime is worth a nickel.”
“Katonah postmaster was terrific, I had an issue trying to forward a business address as we moved. Online service was not helpful and she walked me through it and within 10 days or so the business mail started to get delivered, she was patient and so helpful!”
“I had a nice experience at the main Scarsdale post office today, Monday October 23rd. The kind clerk helped me out in processing an in-person change of address request. The clerks helped me out with a smile and it was a plus that there was no line and ample street parking!”
“Everyone is always pleasant and courteous. Post offices have a bad rep sometimes but I find this one stress free and easy. I don’t really get the negative reviews. Sometimes packages get lost because it goes through a huge system after it leaves the local branch. I wouldn’t blame them for that.”

“I do not think I've ever encountered a U.S. postal service with 5 stars. I was curious and in the area so visited this location, and was impressed. It's in a cute area, across the street from a cafe. The post office was clean, and not busy whatsoever. Also, the mail clerk who helped me was kind, helpful, and professional. Definitely recommend this post office if you are in the area and in need of shipping.”
“I had a great experience with Yolanda! I went in to take a picture and sign my application for passport services, and she was the sweetest and most kind person. Her customer service was excellent—she made the whole process smooth and pleasant. Thank you, Yolanda!””
“It's a small office and like everywhere the customers tend to forget necessary things that make the wait time get gummed up.The staff are friendly and helpful, and they do a good job of keeping things moving.”
“The person at the counter, Dona, was so nice! It was so quick and easy, and made it much easier to get to the all the other places I needed to get to ON TIME! She answered my questions, and was patient and polite.”

“Today, the post office and the workers are just great. Years ago, there were issues. But now the people behind the counter are both helpful and friendly. It is always nice to go to the Post Office now.”
“Honestly no idea why this place has such a low rating. Been living in Ossining for about seven years now and I wouldn’t trade this postal office for any other one. Always a positive attitude and will to help! Every time I go in there they are always smiling and ready to help. You know dmv offices and pretty much any gov office is filled with snotty not wanting to work people but these people are good hard working people that always do their job with a smile and what more can you ask for. Ok bye”

“Gregory is the gem of this post office. Patient, accommodating and just overall a nice person. Only reason I can’t give 5 stars here is because every time I come in, only 1 person is working the front and there is always a line. If they could adjust that, I think the reviews here would drastically improve.”
“Looks like all of the 1-star reviews are regarding passports. Weekday afternoon the Asian gentleman George was perfectly delightful and pleasant with handling my prepaid mail. So all is well with normal postal business. I suppose go elsewhere for passport making.”
“This post office service staff is heads and heels beyond friendly and helpful, I got my kids passports done here, and I had anxiety when I didn't have everything needed, they were understanding and still took photos I ran home and grabbed the required documents and they took my applications. Always friendly when I come in to drop off packages. Totally not the case for other usps locations in the region.”

“I am very happy with the service at this post office. The staff always greets me with a smile and quick service. I go there regularly to send out packages and have to say the one employee Ash is always very friendly and welcomes everyone with a smile and wishes everyone a great day as they leave. I will continue to bring all my mail and packages to this location just based on the customer service alone”
“I've read all the bad reviews and I got skeptical although I went and spoke with the lady about it, she said I don't know about , I am new, she also said " I am here to change that"...well let's hope for the best.”

“I have to give an extreme shout out to Paul at the Port Chester Post Office. Paul is a mail carrier that trained me to be a mail carrier at another office in Westchester. On my last day of training while Paul and I were loading the truck to go on our route in Port Chester, a suspected drunk driver crashed into Paul’s personal vehicle which was legally parked offsite from the Post Office. I literally witnessed this man receive the news that his car was totaled from a colleague of his. What does this man do? He makes a few phone calls to the police and insurance company and he continues his day. He continues to train me and does not skip a beat. The delay caused us to be out late that day but we completed our route and delivered all the mail we had. I cannot stress this or commend this enough. I barely told him how impressed I was because we were just rolling with the punches and working in the moment. If you encounter Paul please salute him because he takes his job and delivering your mail very seriously. He is the one that rocks the double satchel. I can only hope that I live up to the standards of the one who trained me as a mail carrier at my office. Bravo Paul and Bravo to the Port Chester Post Office!”
“Went to drop off an item for a Mercari sale (third party e-commerce app) and the 2 men at the counter were incredibly helpful! They made friendly conversation and answered any questions I had. I wish I asked their names, but they were at the front desk on 7/31/25 at 11:45am!”
“Just had a Hanukkah miracle! We were missing a package and since it was Christmas everything was closed. I called the post office the next day and Kenisha was SOOO pleasant and patient! She help crack the case of the missing holiday package. Hanukkah was saved and one less tween meltdown. THANK YOU so much!!!”

“I have used this Post office for years and have never had a negative interaction with Joe or any other employee. On the contrary, Joe always takes the time to be friendly. Some customers are hard to please, hence the negative reviews.”
“I have have pleasant experiences at this location. It close to my job. I have never waited more than 5 mins, maybe I go in at the right times. Everyone has been helpful and kind. I rather come here then visit my local post office”
“I find the people that work the windows to be unfailingly polite, helpful and efficient. The USPS has been starved for funds for ages now so if you're unhappy with this post office, write your congressman and advocate for better funding - don't blame the people who do the best they can with outdated equipment, office space etc.”
