Woke up to a tire sensor issue on my Abarth that has track mods / tires—called cold, and even though the shop was booked two weeks out, he had me in the bay within 10 minutes from first point of contact. “I have had an issue with my brakes for a while now and nobody could figure out what was wrong with it and they would provide a temporary fix. Brought my car in here and they found out exactly what was wrong with it. They fixed it in 2 days (I told them no rush), and they gave it back to me with a great price. I highly recommend and will definitely be going back.”
“My Muffler on my car had broken at the tail end of one of the Catalytic Converters, It completely broke and was rusted and hanging off the car, The noise was driving me insane, I didn't have alot of money and where was I going to take it last minute and get it in. It is so hard these days to get Great Customer Service, let alone "OK" customer service and that is such a big thing today, because people want and need that, they need to know that the vendor/owner of a business can be trusted to do a good job and not lie, steal or cheat you. The gentlemen took my car in the same day, repaired the muffler at the break, but also clamped everything down solid to the car, so there was no fear of the muffler coming off down the road, he also took the time to weld another location that had a hole, he went out of his way to do a great job, (I only asked him to fix the break) and I felt I was charged accordingly, not taken advantage of because I'm a female, I felt comfortable and safe, and he was very nice. “It was 20 years ago when I first time brought my car to Capitol Mechanics after in some other places the problem was not resolved. Since that time Capitol Mechanics is the only shop, which I use for car repairs and maintenance. Mike and Tina never push me to do some unnecessary work; on the other hand, they do all necessary maintenance that allows me to keep my cars in good condition for more than 10 years. Their business works with cars of all possible models and years – in their garage I saw Rolls-Royce from 60-s and Mustangs from 70-s. They recently purchased new equipment that allows them to work with trucks. They are nice and friendly people and have good professional mechanics in their workshop. DM, PhD.”

Jaime and his team are so friendly plus Monday through Thursday 8-9AM every week you pull up and only wait a few minutes for an inspection! I tried my new local to me shop before driving 35 minutes over to get this inspection done and they were too busy. “Absolutely outstanding service. Our Ford EcoSport developed an exhaust problem that turned into a huge ordeal. Parts were unavailable and nationally backordered, and we were repeatedly told that only a specialized shop could handle the repair. Other shops made the problem sound difficult, expensive, and nearly impossible to resolve.
These guys simply inspected it, welded the damaged section, installed a new flex pipe, and had the car fixed the same day—for $390. No drama, no runaround, and no attempt to inflate the job into something bigger than it was. The repair was handled quickly, professionally, and at a very fair price.
After everything we had been through trying to get this fixed, the ease and competence here were remarkable. This is exactly what an honest, capable neighborhood repair shop should be. They have absolutely earned our trust and our strongest recommendation.”

I called Poestenkill Auto at 4pm and they were able to have the part ready for me to come pick up at 8am the next day. They were faster getting parts in than all the other auto places around and also gave me a better deal. Everyone working there seemed so friendly and pleasant too.
