“My husband and I have used AFCU for as long as I can remember. We are based in NYC, so there are huge advantages: we can use the AFCU ATMs located in McDonald's all over the City charge-free and we can visit the office on 46th street any time to do our banking business in person with an actual human being. By keeping the minimum $100 in our savings account, we get free checking. We have access online to the easy-to-use website. AND, we can make deposits and take care of other banking business via the phone app, which works really well. Recently, my debit card info was stolen and some fraudulent charges were attempted. I called the office, got a representative with very little wait-time, and she helped me report the problem, block the card and re-issue a new one, and provided the forms to recover the one small charge that slipped thru before the fraud was noticed by the debit card issuer. I felt very well-cared for and really appreciated the time and concern from the representative(s). It's stressful to have one's info compromised, and AFCU handled everything very well. On a side note, I really like the staff there and sometimes the hubby and I will stop by with cookies around the holidays... how many banks inspire that kind of appreciation? I'm 100% satisfied with AFCU.”
