“This Salvation Army has the most lovely employees, and a wonderful selection of items, and great and fair pricing. They always have new and hard to find things, and very unique items and furniture. They have a wide variety of clothing for all. But the employees are what makes this location even better always very helpful and polite,I just feel so sorry for the employees, especially when people just go in there to hang around and cause trouble. I highly recommend this location.”
“Cute little thrift store in the heart of oyster bay village! Staff was friendly and helpful. Everything is neatly organized and not overrun with products. Found some great finds like a crock pot, boots and firefighter toys for my son. They accept credit cards!”
“I have been a patron of this shop for over 50 years, have found the best!!! Prices are unbelievable. New items daily. Ya never know what you will come upon. Treasures!”
“Wonderful shop with such a lovely owner, along with her cute pup Dean, who greeted us amiably at the door. Lots to peruse here, from cool vintage clothing to fun household items. My sisters and I will definitely be returning to shop at this cool place, easily accessible from the tristate area. Come visit, you won’t be disappointed!”
“A very cute place that has super affordable inventory! Definitely cheaper than other places. I got two nice tops for $3. Super sweet staff too. I'll be back soon! :)”
“Affordable prices. Friendly and helpful staff. Variety of knick knack items with speciality areas for pocketbooks, shoes, jewelry and so much more. Large selection of clothing. Great place to buy children's cloths.”

“Great quality items at reasonable prices. I picked up a few gorgeous home pieces, and there was an excellent selection to choose from. They were even running a promotion that added an extra 50% off the plates and 75% off the quilt.”
“Golden Shoestring is such a gem! This nonprofit organization is always busy, and it’s no surprise why—there are incredible deals on clothing and jewelry donations. You can find high-quality items at amazing prices, and it feels great knowing that shopping here supports a good cause. Highly recommend stopping by to score some unique finds and support the community! PS ask for Jodi - she’s amazing!!!”
“I love their window displays! For shopping, some days I go and find nothing. Other days I go and leave with a bag of treasures. The hours are very limited. I understand that it's a volunteer-run store, but for their prime location, they really should be open more days or hours. These timings definitely do not work for anyone with a day job.”
“Entering this historic home containing 3 amazing rooms is like entering a museum with its finely curated assortment of china, glassware, crystal, accessories, lamps, artwork, jewelry, furniture, tools, handmade artistry, and so much more too numerous to mention. One will walk out with an armful as the prices are unspeakably modest for the superb quality offered. This shop is a treasure trove of goods which run the gamut from historic, vintage, one of a kind, rare finds to contemporary. Plan to spend time just looking and recalling nostalgia. The shop offers a special sale each month highlighting an inventory of items brought in each week by generous donors and liquidated estates. There is something for everyone, but definitely a must see. The shop, now under new management, has a unified group of dedicated volunteers with a keen eye for interior design. Each room is staged with a theme of items organized and categorized neatly making it buyer friendly. Please visit a most welcoming venue for old and new and everything in between. Knowing that all proceeds from sales go to St. Gregory the Enlightener Armenian Church is satisfying. This shop has it all but mostly, you will love what you see every Thursday afternoon from 12-4pm and announced monthly Saturdays. It's such a treat!”

“Very large selection of clothing. Mostly reasonably priced. Some good brands. I found clothing that I needed for my kids' costumes for a play here, after I made some minor adjustments. Not as good of a selection on the home goods side.”
“I was intending to go to a different location in Stamford and was fortunate to come across this gem. The parking lot is large and easy to enter. The store is clean with good pricing. There are folks available (and willing to answer questions kindly). I thought they had a good variety of items and I like the way the store is organized. See photos for more. Definitely worth a visit… give yourself ample time to browse.”
“Place is really great! Saw some of the other reviews, not sure how people were displeased. I thought the staff was helpful and kind. Selection was large and fantastic! I came with my girlfriend, and we both found something here!”
“Came in expecting nothing but walked out with a pile of non-fictions. Extraordinary! Might be that some UConn Stamford students happen to get rid of their stuff but still better than any Goodwill I've been to lol. To be fair, the store is well organized and clean. Cloths and utensils etc are shelved nicely.”
