I have come to this location for many years because out of necessity and each time, the service has been abysmal. They tell you someone will come around to help and leave you waiting for 20+ minutes. If you have the ability to go to another location, I highly recommend that and avoid the Port Chester location.

I bought a generator that did not work. I tried to return it ($1000) for a better one. Alex, the manager would not accomodate it. Would only give me another of that brand in a broken box. They refused to give me a new receipt. I would have spent more. I have a home renovation to do and will go to Lowes instead. Foolish. Alex was super rude. Horrible staff. Should be fired.

Congratulations. The Port Chester location is considered to be the WORST Home Depot not just in New York, but the ENTIRE NATION. Filthy conditions, broken and open items all over store, mice feces on shelves, actual vermin in the store. Plus bitter, illiterate employees shuffling around and avoiding customers. A deeply wretched operation. Avoid.

Don't believe what any of the Home Depot Installation sales reps tell you about their windows/doors "Double Lifetime Warranty." It's simply not true. Labor is not covered beyond 1 year! Look at their contract verbiage below. When I inquired about the discrepancy, this was my reply: "My understanding is the line references our lowest warranty that was available on an American Craftsman window which is 1 year and the others would in essence be an upgrade to it. I can assure you having been with Home Depot in the window installations business for over 8 years now they consistently favor on the side of taking care of the customer including any service concerns and issues." It's b******* because the salespeople will be long gone by the time you file a claim. It's what's in the contract that you sign that matters in the eyes of the law; not a marketing brochure or said in an email. Plygem/Simonton's customer service rep, Mikka, told me that they get lots of complaints from unhappy customers when Home Depot does not honor the warranty. Moreover, they told me HD's (underpaid) subcontractor installers make a lot of mistakes. All confirmed by Simonton's supervisor, Lori Hendershot. The 6500 series window itself is warranted for 20 years and prorated afterwards. This is taken from their contract. Workmanship is only for 1 year! 7. WARRANTY AND LIMITATION ON WARRANTIES: (a) Warranty: Unless otherwise stated in the Agreement, Home Depot warrants for 1 year from the completion date that all Services shall (i) be performed with good workmanship and (ii) conform to the requirements of the Agreement. During the warranty period and within a reasonable time after receiving notice from You of a warranty claim, Home Depot may, at its sole option (i) correct or replace each Defect, or (ii) remove each Defect and refund the full purchase price thereof to You; provided, however, that all warranties are voided if (1) anyone other than Home Depot or Service Provider performs work upon or otherwise modifies any materials or Services provided under this Agreement, or (2) You fail to pay Home Depot as provided in this Agreement. (b) Limitation on Warranties: THE WARRANTIES PROVIDED IN THIS AGREEMENT ARE STRICTLY LIMITED TO THE FOREGOING EXPRESS WARRANTIES CONTAINED IN PARAGRAPH 7A, IN THE WARRANTY SECTION OF THE AGREEMENT, IF ANY, OR IN THE STATE SUPPLEMENT, IF ANY. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT NO OTHER WARRANTIES ARE MADE OR GIVEN BY HOME DEPOT OR SERVICE PROVIDER, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY FOR FITNESS OF PURPOSE, WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, OR ANY OTHER ORAL, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES. HOME DEPOT'S EXPRESS WARRANTIES ARE VOIDED FOR ANY DEFECT CAUSED BY ABUSE, MISUSE, NEGLECT, ACTS OF GOD, LACK OF PRESCRIBED OR STANDARD MAINTENANCE, OR IMPROPER CARE/CLEANING. ANY MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTIES PROVIDED FOR GOODS, MATERIALS, OR EQUIPMENT WILL BE PASSED THROUGH BY HOME DEPOT TO YOU, AND YOU AGREE TO LOOK SOLELY TO SUCH MANUFACTURER FOR REMEDY OF ANY DEFECT IN SUCH GOODS, MATERIALS, AND EQUIPMENT. Not only the worst home depot, but perhaps the worst retail store i've ever been to. The employees are useless and don't know anything, and the shelves are never stocked properly. Save youself the aggravation and go to Stamford or Hawthorne, much better locations

Typical HD, except this location is messy, dirty outside the store, on a slow day no one is stocking shelves can't find any employees. I blame it on the manager, learn how to run your ship.

This place is a disaster,my son and I tried to buy a fresh cut Christmas tree here; first problem no one came up to us to ask if we needed assistance. Secondly, when we approached three guys shoveling snow the one who did answer our question sounded like he had rocks in his mouth. The trees they had were sloppy and all poorly kept. I'm sick and tired of coming in this place and not given any proper customer service. This store better shape up or ship out!!!!

I am so disappointed with the service I received here this morning. I personally spent thousands of dollars at this location over the summer completely renovating my home. After waiting in line at the paint counter for 35 minutes without being acknowledged, while the employee serviced the machine I was finally able to give them my paint sample to wait another 15 minutes to be told that "the machine wasn't accepting the color"..?!?! I took out my phone to check to see if had been discontinued which it had not, and then asked the clerk to call another associate to assist them with the machine since they clearly did not know how to use it. He then proceeded to spend another 10 minutes on the computer to come back and tell me the other employee was on their break and would be back soon so I'd have to wait. AGAIN. Total wait time at this point being 1 hour already. I left the cart I had filed with paint supplies and other items at the counter and walked out. I went to Lowe's, with the same Behr paint sample in hand, where once I entered the store had it made and was back in my car in under a half hour.

This Home Depot racially discriminated against my boyfriend and I (Couple of color). We came into Home Depot to buy a Recycling Garbage bin, citronella candles, and pipes to replace a bathroom sink. In all we had 5 items between both of us. When going to checkout we used the self checkout. My boyfriend rang up the 2 bathroom sink replacement kits under one order which he paid with his credit card and received a receipt. The next order which I rang was 3 items (recycling garbage bin, and 2 mosquito repellents) which I paid for and received a receipt. When walking up to the register the female worker came right over to watch our transactions. Once we both paid and were exiting walking towards our vehicle we were chased down and stopped by a female employee saying that we did not pay for all our items. We showed the woman BOTH receipts and all the items that were purchased. She insisted that we needed to go back inside the with our purchases and confirm with the initial female employee who watched us rang everything up. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE and I will never shop at this location again! Before accusing paying customers that they DID NOT pay please make sure your employees are sure of this accusation!

The only thing that this Home Depot has in stock is the worst retail experience of your life. Avoid this place at all costs. If you need a hardware store in the Port Chester area, go to Ace on Main Street in Port Chester, they're incredibly helpful and generally have everything you need. If you require lumber, go to Interstate or Ring's End. I've wasted too much time at this Home Depot, never again!

I made an online order on homedepot.com. They delivered the items to my house today. After I checked everything, some items are missing from the order. So I contacted the Depot store Port Chester which is responsible for delivering my items. The lady on the phone rudely said the missing items are out of stock. I had no knowledge of that until I spoke with her on the line. Can you believe that? I never got a phone call or email saying that some items gonna be missing. I told her I paid $79 for express delivery. Now I have to pay an additional $79 dollar to reorder the missing items. I asked her if she could get someone from higher management to give me a refund. She refused to offer any helps. And she said if I want I have to return everything to them to get back my $79. Since some items I ordered are very large, I cannot bring them back to the store. So I asked if she could ask someone from higher management to pick them up for no fees. She refused to give me any advices or helps. I am so sick of this right now. I hope everyone who experienced the same situation like I did to speak up against Home Depot by filing Federal Trade Commissions complaints. We should make our voices heard.

Saturday, April 11th my father purchased some moving boxes. As he was walking out, an employee on shift at the time approached him to check his receipt. This employee was was not wearing a mask nor protective gloves . This is very alarming as we are currently facing a global pandemic with Covid-19. Therefore, everyone including your employees should be taking all precautions possible to maintain safe habits and keep themselves and everyone else safe.
