I have to give an extreme shout out to Paul at the Port Chester Post Office. Paul is a mail carrier that trained me to be a mail carrier at another office in Westchester. On my last day of training while Paul and I were loading the truck to go on our route in Port Chester, a suspected drunk driver crashed into Paul’s personal vehicle which was legally parked offsite from the Post Office. I literally witnessed this man receive the news that his car was totaled from a colleague of his. What does this man do? He makes a few phone calls to the police and insurance company and he continues his day. He continues to train me and does not skip a beat. The delay caused us to be out late that day but we completed our route and delivered all the mail we had. I cannot stress this or commend this enough. I barely told him how impressed I was because we were just rolling with the punches and working in the moment. If you encounter Paul please salute him because he takes his job and delivering your mail very seriously. He is the one that rocks the double satchel. I can only hope that I live up to the standards of the one who trained me as a mail carrier at my office. Bravo Paul and Bravo to the Port Chester Post Office!

Disappointing Customer Service Experience
I visited the post office located at 245 Westchester ave. Port Chester NY recently and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience due to the rude customer service. The staff member who assisted me was not only unhelpful but also seemed annoyed by my questions and presence.
Instead of providing guidance, In an establishment that serves the community, I expected a level of professionalism and courtesy. Instead, I was met with hostility that made my visit unnecessarily stressful. I left the post office feeling disheartened and hesitant to return.
I hope the management can address these issues, as good customer service is essential for a positive community experience.

The woman at the front desk at Port Chester post office, whom I believe to be is Donna as that is what her stamp said was the most vile person I’ve ever come across. If that is not her name, she is white had a beanie on skinny and about 5’6. I came in for my job to mail packages and from I walked up to the desk she had such a nasty attitude. I walked in very polite and already had such a bad day. She was one the rudest people I’ve ever come across. I’ve been to Harrison and mamaroneck post offices and never had that experience. She claimed the addresses were wrong which they were not as I’ve mailed to them before and with the help of a gentleman in the back I was able to get my packages mailed. Horrible experience.

My mailman was out and the stand in mail person dropped everyone mail from my street into my door and probably 10 different peoples Amazon packages . I went here to try to get the contact and speak to the post master and got nowhere

The Review That was Here, was Not so Good.I Revised it because ever Since there was an incident, I was not going to come back. I have to admit the Clerk is So Professional, Friendly, and Warm, & That has been consisting for awhile nowOn top of that, just Recently Clerk#8 went above and beyond to make sure my package got mailed. Being Friendly and Helpful Consistently will change people's perception of this Post Office. If I could give 10 Stars I would.(**********).I Also encourage any person who left a Bad review to examine if you should revise it for the better based on what you have seen and are currently experiencing at this post office

Excellent ? I made an express shipment for the first time, I had never sent anything anywhere, but yesterday I had to make a shipment to HOUSTON TX, from here in NEW YORK, and now they received it just as I sent it, my respects to USPS , 5 stars ? 100% earned.Thank you ✌️

As someone who recently moved from Bushwick, Brooklyn to Port Chester — this post office is pure Nirvana. Sure, there are times when there's a line and I have to wait, but the staff are always friendly, kind, patient, helpful, and knowledgeable. ?????

Really don’t post bad reviews often but I’ve never had a worst experience then when I tried to mail a package here. The lady attending was so condescending and rude even when I made it explicitly clear I was inexperienced with shipping and would need some help. I don’t mail things now purely because of the experience I had here and I have war flashbacks when I pass by the post office
