I hate this company total rip off for simple internet service tried to charge me a 1000 dollars for equipment I didn't want never again you guys are dinosaurs wont be long before your out of business

Awful service with tech support hotline. Took forever to get the robot to transfer me to a person to enable bridge mode on my gateway modem and then end up talking to non Americans who one employee who went by Monika sounded like she was winging it & made me fear it wasn't even optimum. I get a call back from the manager , who had an attitude and rushed me off the phone told me that working on my gateway enabling bridge mode was a "level 2" job, and thT they were level 1s. Now worried why his employee was doing a job above her leveling, why he couldn't hp me with that, and why he didn't care that she had do e that. Even got all pissy when I asked him why she would tell me she will do that if she wasn't supposed to, and it still didn't fix my download/upload speeds, nor a difference in latency/ping. I don't want to pay technicians for this and I don't wNt his employee concerning me whether she even works for optimum, and why she would only think to tell me to reboot my modem AFTER I suggested that myself. I don't need to make my problems worse by calling tech support, I would have left things as they were.

The worse place to go to fix your issues! NO Employee training ! My son worked there for years and was let go because he was actually HELPING customers exactly as his immediate manager instructed. Fired over the phone by same manager because of situations out of his control. Stay away from them the managers use these kids to do a job that reaps bigger commissions! This place is SALES NOT A OPTIMUM CUSTOMER SERVICE! Stay away!! They are instructed to push the sale of cell phones, faster speeds or phone accessories by kids looking for work then cut them off after unknowingly when they are used up!! And yes I hope they look into my comment.

horrendous… phone is broken … go down there to get a new one … still have unpaid balance on broken phone… he gives me phone number to call because he can’t sell me a phone until I call a number, pay off old phone …afterwards will take up 48-72 hours to update system and then they can sell me a phone… why can’t I pay you now and be done with it… your company sucks and your employee is rude and took joy in knowing he can’t help us

Possibly the worst customer service ever. Textbook "what not to do." Can't get someone on the phone, can't change anything online. Promise discounts, then remove them and raise prices.2-2024 Update: I replied to the email request below, and after quite a few emails back and forth Optimum says they cannot lower the price because of some unspecified security reasons. February 2024 Update,Optimum Cable Company in Brookhaven N.Y. is a total disgrace at best. We had a new one year contract for Cable services approved by Ceasar from their disconnect department and now Brookhaven Optimum refused to honor their own contract. They simply raised our bill an extra 40 dollars a month sayingbonly that they could not honor the price promised from their own disconnect department representative Ceasar. Do not trustvthese people they lied to keep our business and are now ripping off senior citizens. ????????????In January 2024 we received our new bill of course it went up so we looked into different options and called Brookhaven Cable to disconnect. The gentleman I talked to named Cesar gave us an upgraded package with fiberoptic Cable for an awesome pice. Today I received the new bill and of course the bill it not what we were promised. I even have an email from Cesar with the new price with taxes. The new bil is not even close to what we were promised even with an emailed so called guaranteed email confirmation of next bill. Today I called Cable and was promised a call back from an escalated department. No call as of yet.We are extremely disappointed in Cable. We have been with them for 35 years and this is how they treat customers?????These cowards hide behind never even calling you back to deal with a promised promotion. I seriously doubt we will hear back to get this resolved.Wow now that odd I tried to email the adress I was sent and it doesn't work.

I find it extremely odd that my husband writes a review about our Brookhaven Cable service and he gets a quick response with an email to contact that is fake and does not work. Is it Brookhaven Cable lying or are they a fake ripoff Company on the internet?Don't email the address this Company sending it doesn't exist.

They suck. Went to fiberoptics and had no TV for days. Now they raised my bill from 150.00 as I was told to 260.00.I'm going back to regular boxes and pay 184.3They still need to learn how to trouble shoot ppl that they talked into going to fiberoptics.Very dissatisfied I even switched. Probably I. Total I was on the phone at least 8 hrs. Now they tell me they will look into my bill and let me know in 7-10 days. REALLY ???GARY MAST

By and away the worst isp ive ever had the displeasure of dealing with. In a world were companies like xfinity are notorious for being cartoonishly evil...optimum makes them look like saints. Ill tell anyone who will listen not to ever get optimum. Yall used to be ok idk wth happened. Also yall owe me $3k.
