“Chloe is very uncomfortable around strangers and even after repeated visits from some people, like our house cleaners, she still barks at them.
When your technician came out to get her, she crawled under the bench I was sitting on, but went with the tech without a bark or whimper.
The blood work report I got from Chloe's vet was exceptional. Clear, readable and informative. I wish my doctors would write that kind of evaluation for me.

“We had our 2 very anxious dogs and 3 cats taken care of here. We had a great experience every time. Our dogs stayed here when we went on vacation and even though they were both anxious they enjoyed staying here.
The vets never pushed me to pay for anything that wasn’t medically necessary. They always showed compassion and care. I cannot say the same for any other vet clinics in the area and we tried most of those before coming here!”
“My boy Toby became fatally ill last week, and my neighbor recommended Dr. Mihok, telling me he was incredibly kind and helpful. When I called, he immediately said he could come to my home. He examined my sweet boy and gently gave us the heartbreaking news that it was likely his time. Even then, he offered to bring Toby to the vet’s office for an X-ray, just to be sure. He took our boy in his van and drove him himself. But Dr. Mihok was right—Toby was ready to cross the rainbow bridge, and he passed before reaching the office.
Dr. Mihok personally brought him back to us and explained our options with so much compassion. My husband and I brought Toby to the office for cremation. When Toby was ready to come home, Dr. Mihok called us himself and drove to our house to bring him to our door.
For what is truly the worst experience a pet owner can go through, Dr. Mihok went out of his way to make the process as gentle as possible. He showed genuine care for our boy’s comfort, and you could see in his eyes that his heart broke alongside ours when he handed us Toby’s remains.
I have never met a veterinarian who goes so far above and beyond for the families he serves. Dr. Mihok and everyone at Cross River Veterinary are blessings. I truly don’t know how we would have gotten through this without their guidance and support. May God bless them.”

He never rushes through visits and always takes time to answer our questions, which makes a huge difference. It's clear he is an expert in all thing's animal!
Most recently, he spayed our cat, and the entire experience - from pre-op to post-op was smooth and reassuring. “We have been taking our two dogs to VCA Darien for almost two years and they are absolutely amazing. The front desk staff are always a pleasure to talk to, they are organized and easy to get ahold of. The Vet techs are extremely nice and take great care of our two dogs. Dr Kline has been fantastic to deal with, always listens to our concerns and takes great care of our dogs. One of our dogs Max recently passed away and we received a personalized signed card from everyone who worked there which was a very thoughtful thing to do. We whole heartedly recommend this vet.”

“What a wonderful staff! We worked with Dr. Bolton, Sam S. and Daniel, and they were absolutely fantastic. They provided great insight, communicated clearly, and made the entire experience feel calm and reassuring.
Our dog is reactive in a vet setting (a butt head really), and we came in for boosters and a nail trim. They handled everything so smoothly and professionally that I left genuinely speechless and shocked at how quickly they were able to get everything done. It was one of the fastest and least stressful vet visits we’ve ever had with our dog, Murphy.

“We have had our dog seen here since we adopted her in 2017. Very happy with her care and process of getting appointments. Most recently had our dog see Dr. Callahan for her annual checkup. He was very thorough in her annual exam and explained the process in detail. Much more information than your standard human annual physical! Finding a good vet practice is difficult and I highly recommend Dr. Callahan and the High Ridge practice for other pet owners.”

“I’m not going to lie. I was reluctant to come here based on review ratings. I decided to read each and every review to see what’s up.
Our fur babies are our family…our children. We love them unconditionally and when they are sick and helpless, we feel sick and helpless. We are emotionally attached. As humans, when we love someone (somepet) and we feel helpless, we sometimes have a hard time accepting the truth of the matter. Many turn their emotions toward someone or something to blame. I feel that while there may have been human errors that have been made, I do truly believe that the faculty in this place is empathetic and caring. Now…here’s my experience….hope you’re still with me.
Making the appointment and stating why I was referred to their internist was easy, pleasant and caring. I never felt rushed all my concerns were addressed and with empathy.
Upon arrival (15 minutes early) I was checked in and seen by the vet tech (I think her name was Mariah?) less than 5 minutes later. She was very thorough with intake questions and so genuine and sweet with Bentley (my 7 year old Golden Retriever). Five minutes later Dr. Stephens, the internist, came in. I called my partner and put her on speaker phone. We both bombarded her with questions and “what if’s”. She graciously answered our questions….we could tell the knowledge that she had but she answered slowly, in Layman’s terms. She was patient and kind AND knowledgeable all in one.
She had ideas of things to test for. Are these tests expensive?? Hell yes!! But….so are ALL medical tests….for all living beings. Our Bentley is our family. Would you complain about prices for Great Aunt Edna’s medical care? Probably not…you know why? Because she has health insurance. And so do we. For Bentley. Just food for thought.
On that note, the communication between the check in, to the procedures, to the overnight care to the checkout was OUTSTANDING. Dr. Stephens actually just called me (just before she left for the weekend), while writing this review to let me know that the results for radiology hadn’t come in yet.

“Banfield Norwalk has been so important for me as a first time dog mom .The Dr’s & Vet techs are so friendly. Every appt the staff is so happy to see my babies. The communication from staff to owner has been top tier. It is very easy for me to understand & follow the treatment they are providing along with the aftercare. Adrianna (receptionist) is one of my favorite parts of every visit. She is so helpful & attentive when we arrive. When we are ready to leave, the efficiency in providing a detailed breakdown of our visit along with the information for payment is very professional. The 45 minute drive is worth it !”
