“I went here today to look for a few things and the staff were extremely helpful and polite. One of the things that I was looking for was a statue which I didn't know was in their 2nd storefront across the street. The gentleman who helped me even took the time to walk outside with me and show me exactly where the 2nd storefront was. I only wish that they had a bit more merchandise in English, as the majority of it was in Spanish, because there are so few Catholic stores in the City now.”

“It's great to be able to purchase a book on the Bandibooks website and have it delivered to a New York bookstore. It's not a huge amount, but I've been buying books often for over 10 years and I love it! The owner is so kind. You can purchase most new books directly online or at bookstores. It is cheaper to buy online and pick it up. I'm so happy to be able to use such a good service in New York, where there are few ways to get Korean books.I have been buying Korean books for both adults and kids for over 10 years. “Astoria Bookshop is tucked away off the main drag and that only makes it more perfect. The shop is loaded with current best sellers, kids books & cute notebooks, bookmarks and cards. They even had some signed copies of books that were great to see. The ladies were so friendly and sweet. I had my dog with me and they were so excited to see her and offered her treats and pets. Checked out the shops Instagram where they have all their events & happenings. I also picked up my next read and I'll definitely go back there for more books and tosupport this great shop!”

“When I was walking down Roosevelt Ave, Jackson Heights, I looked for a book store nearby. I wasn't expecting much, but what I found, which was this store, I was pleasantly surprised. The people in the store have all been very friendly and very helpful. They engaged in wonderful conversations and made great suggestions for me to read, with their selection being mainly in Spanish. Despite their main Spanish collection, their English literature and books didn't disappoint me. I left with 7 books, with one of them being a gift. I will definitely return to the store again.”

“Such a beautiful place to go when you need anything for your Hindu/Sikh rituals. They have everything from Bhagaved Gita to Guru Granth Sahib to Bengali books on Durga Ma. Also many Indian utensils and Indian games like Carom. Truly a peaceful place.”

“I really like this bookstore. It’s hidden away but absolutely worth the pursuit of locating. The store itself has many selections of books both in traditional and simplified script. They have 2 floors — the first floor stacking the more popular book genres for kids and adults, the ground floor holding additional books, stationary , arts & crafts materials. The staff was really helpful with me despite my limited Mandarin/Cantonese skills. Just be patient in describing or Google translate ahead of time if there is something you’re specifically speaking.
