Fresh Meadows Food Mart is a supermarket under new management. It is very clean and neat, open late, and opens earlier than many places. The staff are friendly and have shown great honesty and humanity. The market has a great variety of items, with competitive prices on staple items. It offers an interesting selection of gourmet items, various Indian spices, and organic items you can’t find in other places. The produce is very good. However, some items are a bit pricey. Health food store items are now more limited compared to years ago under the old ownership, and it is not the same experience. Some items, mainly cheese and yogurt, can be expired, so customers should double check before buying. Some prepared foods, like a chicken Caesar wrap, can be considered tiny for the price.
