“First thing I want to say is that there are many fake reviews on this restaurant and I can't believe yelp hasn't spotted them? Now to the review. The sandwiches from the menu are perfect. I would avoid the specials. My sandwich was $16 but since I was full after one half I think the price is good. I will definitely come back when I can!”

As a chef I love the Genuine Gaucho charcoal grill flavor if you dine in, or choice to buy fresh meats to cook at home. Have empanadas while you wait. Also the simplicity of this place - soccer and Latin music. Feels like being back to not only to Argentina but to Latin America. love the quality meats, Quebracho Charcoal, genuine hospitality, International products, ambiance, and best of prices.
If you want to forget pretentious steakhouses, try El Gaucho Carniceria.”

“Really good quality produce, meats, and deli department. Some dairy and grocery items are priced toward the high end of the "competitive" range, but that's the price of convenience. The previous place left a void when it closed, so it's great to have an even better neighborhood supermarket fill that void.Unfortunately, there has been an increase in thefts recently and Marino's has had to create a new policy: no using your own bags to shop (use their baskets instead), and no "granny carts" at all. It's inconvenient, but we can't blame the store or its employees; they're simply reacting to a sad reality. Two thumbs down for the thieves who have made the new rule necessary.Meanwhile, we should keep supporting a local business that has served the community well.”

“Cherry Valley is expensive, however, it's the only supermarket in the neighborhood that is walkable, unless you walk down to Golden Farms which is also another good one. If you want a hot Dominican breakfast or lunch, this is a great option. However, beware of expiration dates. They always have sales, which is awesome, and are always stocked and the place is super clean. Just be careful with what you are buying. I bought cereal on sale and the cereal was stale do to the bag being punctured. The staff here is great and always greeting you!”

“I live up the block and decided to stop in and see what they have. Upon entering, I noticed they made lamb over rice as well as Gyros, and decided to try the lamb gyro. When I got home, I noticed it was exactly like the ones you can buy at the halal carts! I was extremely pleased with it and due to the hot weather, I will definitely be coming again. Next time, I will be ordering the lamb over rice. I highly recommend this restaurant!”

“With the summer months, it's great to find some cuts that aren't as readily available at most butchers in and around the city. I stumbled upon Emir Halal Foods via a Google search as I was looking for a tomahawk steak and brisket to smoke for my parents. You come to find that your options are pretty limited in the states.
The prices were right, the delivery was handled efficiently, and the product itself came out great.
Will purchase again, highly recommend for some of the harder to find cuts.”

The people here are so friendly and make you feel like family. The food is all the way in the back. Well worth the visit.

“Lovely neighborhood market in Astoria. The produce covered all the usual fruits and vegetables, seemed fresh, and was a good price. I've personally been hunting for certain whole spices in NYC for a couple weeks, and I finally got cardamom pods, all spice, and star anise! It was a good price compared to other specialty groceries I've visited in Manhattan. I also got some cool goodies like pomegranate molasses. There is a huge selection of olive oil, olives, and a halal butcher in the back. The grocery store was clean inside and smelled deliciously of salted olives and other spices. The line moved a bit slowly, but the staff were friendly and helpful if you ask them to help you check prices (which aren't always posted clearly or labeled)”
