About Zucker Hillside Hospital
Zucker Hillside Hospital is Northwell Health's nationally recognized behavioral health center known for its pioneering clinical, teaching and research programs. The National Institutes of Health has established a Clinical Research Center for the Study of Schizophrenia at Zucker Hillside Hospital, one of only four such facilities nationwide. The reviews of the hospital are mixed. Some patients and their family members reported exceptional care, with the staff described as patient, helpful, genuine, kind, and empathetic. They helped patients develop coping skills to manage their mental illness. However, others experienced a complete lack of communication regarding the care or release of a family member, with the hospital ignoring provided information. Overall, the hospital seems to provide high-quality care for some patients, but there are also concerns about communication and responsiveness to patient and family needs. The hospital encourages all visitors to follow the specific visitation guidelines in place for the safety of patients, visitors, and team members.
Dogs#it stay at this place but at least the food was good. They constantly hang up on you whenever you’re trying to make an appointment too.

Its obviously not going to be a utopia, no psychiatric hospital is. But out of all the other psychiatric hospitals on Long Island/New York, this one is by far the best.

ZHH’s geriatric partial program saved my life! I entered the 5-day a week 6 week program completely depressed, anxious and downtrodden and the team at ZHH worked with me until I was back to my normal self. I could not more highly recommend this program. Life-changing!
