“a little italy staple and filled with so much history! been coming here since i was young for my meats and cheeses. they have the freshest products around the area and is a must try even if you’re just visiting. the line can be long but once its your turn, you get taken care of by the best people. i’m always trying and learning something new when i come in here. i always get their prosciutto di parma and once you try fresh, its hard to go back to store bought. they’re also great with providing big pieces for you to sample, so you never leave with an empty stomach.”
“The selection was pretty vast on a Saturday morning. The store was packed with locals and tourists. I couldn't see the price list for the goods and that tempered down my ambitions.
Nevertheless, I bought a pork knuckle. It was delicious!”
“The Arthur Avenue Retail Market is one of several public food halls across the city, including Essex Market (LES), Jamaica Farmers Market (Queens), La Marqueta (Harlem), and the Moore Street Market (Brooklyn). The Arthur Avenue market opened in 1940 to serve the predominantly Italian neighborhood and still does to this day. There are several vendors, including butchers, fresh produce sellers, dry goods, and at least one restaurant and sandwich joint.I was running errands in the area and needed a sandwich, so I ordered a mortadella and broccoli raab sandwich from Mike's in the back on the right. They also offer many pre-made sandwiches if you are in a rush, but I like to order off the menu. The butchers look great and have an assortment of specialties, including offal and fresh rabbits. I can't wait to see what they offer around Easter time. There are a few tables near the bar in the back and as part of the restaurant, but it's hard to say if you are welcome to sit there to eat a sandwich. Regardless, it's a great spot to check out if you are walking along and want to pop into NYC, equivalent to a European food hall.”
“Ottomanelli butchery and restaurant is such a great place , so many types of meat selection according to your taste, and people are all so kind , thank you and I’ll see you soon for another special lamb burger”
“you want really good meats, bread, cheese and anything else in a small package (in and out) with really cool folks servicing you then muncan is your place. I go there unfortunately twice a year but I spent a lot on everything.”
“Wow! I got some ground beef for burgers, as well as a flank steak, and Jen ground the beef in front of me. It made for a delicious, fresh burger — the best beef I’ve had in NYC.
I made the flank steak into a stir-fry, and it was wonderful as well. Beautiful, tender, and high quality meat with no off odors like you might find at other places.”

“I always have a 5 Star experience with Sorriso service and food but need to make sure now to review publicly because the antipasto just really helped my Christmas. The appetizers - peppers, eggplant, onions, and more were all fantastic. I feel I can always rely on Sorriso to help me with any table for any holiday or get together. The staff is always wonderful and I walk in knowing I’m going to be treated with kindness, warmth, and expertise. Thank you! You’re an asset to the community.”
“The best butcher shop in town! Delicious & high quality meat selection,
and amazing service also. Nini is an awesome guy! Very kind and professional.”
“They are the best! Have gotten my Thanksgiving turkey from these guys for over 20 years. Recently discovered that they sell ground meat for dog food — I just add some veggies and carbs, and we’ve got one happy, healthy pup thanks to United!”
“It's tough because I want them to know how great they treat their customers but I also don't want all you's other people coming to my butcher. It's a secret.”
“Absolutely the Best all my food was shipped. The mozzarella was fresh snd the knots. It was shipped immediately and I got it to VA IN 3 days. Landis is Best in the Business. I will always order from them. TRY IT... YOU'LL LOVE IT!”
“I enjoyed the marbled pork belly and thinly sliced pork belly~The price is good and the meat quality is good^^I’m looking forward to it because I’ve heard that the seasoned pork neck is delicious too.”
“This is hands down the best steak Ive ever had. I eat out multiple times a month at various places all over NJ & NY and this is the best steak Ive ever had. I took home the A5 Japanese wagyu, it was unreal. The prime marinated hangar steak, amazing. The deli counter is out of this world, very decently priced and the food is so fresh and creative. A million different kinds of salads and stuffed peppers along with traditional small Italian dinners like eggplant rollatini. Just go, you will not be disappointed!PS Dont let the guy who answers the phone deter you from going here.”
“This has been my go to location to buy meat a couple of years now. I highly recommend everyone to go here. Luis is awesome he is always so helpful and his team also.”
“Best guanciale I have ever had. Better than all other salumerias and Italian specialty stores I have tried in NY NJ. And for a reasonable price. I will only be buying here from now on. Help me keep this place around. Go here. Try it.”
“Got a great Chuck Roast last week. The butcher cut it fresh and tied it perfectly, so I had a rich and tender pot roast that didn’t fall apart after four hours of braising. Very friendly service.”

“We were here twice in April 25 (OK, late review, but better late than never). Once for a hot dog and once for a steak. Both times: delicious food, super friendly staff. What more could you want? Thank you, and when we're back in New York, we'll be back :)”

“Yum! Staying in Brooklyn as a tourist, came by here for a nice pastrami sandwich and the qualify exceeded my expectations. (My skepticism came from letting myself get too hungry before eating) Friendly service was nice during a busy evening.”

“We had the tomahawk steak from C&J Prime Meats and cooked it at home! It was absolutely exceptional premium quality and incredibly fresh. Once cooked, it was juicy, tender, and packed with rich flavor, truly high-end restaurant level meat at home. You can really taste the difference in quality and care. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be getting more from them soon!”
“Cute butcher shop that happens to be my go to place where I shop for my bread. Excellent and friendly service. And bread is great of course. Definitely restaurant quality products”
“This place is so nice and the staff are welcoming and friendly! I bought a 35 day dry aged Delmonico steak, and it was the best steak I have ever eaten. Its been weeks and I still remember the taste. they gave me specific instructions on how to cook it which was very helpful. The steak was huge and fed 3 people. I will be returning for another dry aged steak”
“Great local grocery store! Parking lot is available for a few cars at a time. Not the biggest selection of groceries, but they have every type of paper goods. A ton of sale's every week, but you may have to purchase a minimum or follow other directions to get sale price.”

“Fairly well stocked. Prices are a bit high, especially on their takeout or home made brands. Parking most of the time is very difficult and it's a main reason I don't go there often.”
“Bought some food here the other dayIt was absolutely delicious & freshA bunch of good guys working there tooI will be a regular customer from now onIm am glad to support a mom & pop business as opposed to a big chain .One item i got was the chicken marsala & it was the superior beef”

“Love this store, the ladies are awesome and always help me with selections. Their lamb is especially good, as is the steaks and turkey. My turkey breast this Thanksgiving kind not frozen and with a packet of fresh herbs, it was delicious. The store always smells like smoked meat too, takes me back to shops abroad for sure!”
“It is a very nice Turkish market. There are many butcher and greengrocer sections with a wide variety of products. They help you with everything. I would especially like to thank Mr. Ahmet. I have shopped from this market 30 times and I will continue to shop.
I definitely recommend it to you. There is a huge free parking lot behind Grand Bazaar food.”
“Nice kosher quality meat , prices are ok could be lower. Nice animals displayed.most organs for animals are frozen in plates with frozen moisture, makes it super heavy.”
