DO NOT SIGN UP WITH ADT…..I’ve been trying to cancel ADT for 3 months now. We moved. They have hounded me via phone and emails to try to sell at new location and we have security system already through the HOA. They also keep sending over due bills. I’ve called in 4 times to cancel since December and each time start all over again. Today someone said I agreed verbally to a contract for a year and if I cancel would have to pay $168 to cancel. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ADT. They are very difficult and deceiving. I would never have agreed to a contract so I’m fighting their verbal contract.

So far I really have liked using ADT. I was a little apprehensive because of the google reviews about the customer service. I have had my system for almost 5 months and had to contact customer service 2 times. One time to get a copy of a certificate for my insurance which was quick and easy. A second time my cellular service lost connection and I used the customer chat feature to help me restore the connection. Each time it was very quick and easy to get in touch with someone who was very helpful. I have zero complaints! I have 5 pets at home and I feel super comfortable knowing if the fire or carbon monoxide alarms go off for any reason while I’m out, I will be alerted as long as fire & rescue. Definitely recommend as an added safety feature in your home.

Read the fine print, they will charge cancellation fees after the 30 day initial period. They are not worth the expense or headache. I'd give 0 Stars if I could.

No one told me that I would still have to charge the doorbell camera even if it's wired. I am constantly removing to charge it almost the same as the unwired doorbell.
Definitely a WASTE of money.
And it doesn't record all movement even if I have it set for people, vehicles, animals.
There will be tire tracks, foot prints in the driveway but nothing recorded.
Do NOT waste ur money with ADT, especially with the cameras.
***UPDATE:***
Yes, my settings are at high wake up setting, record for 1 minute, video quality at high.
Today, 2/17/2025, it did NOT record the snowplow knocking over my garbage bin but it'll record when the plow goes in the other direction.
As I stated... USELESS EQUIPMENT & I'm stuck with this crap equipment

NEVER EVER EVER purchase!!!!!!! This has been the worst experience, I’ve ever dealt with. The worst company and absolutely would never ever recommend!!!!! Singed up In Oct 2024. We have yet to have all 3 cameras work at the same time. In October we had 5 service calls and one that was a no show. They don’t care that this requires time off from a job, and waited all day for someone to show, and no one did. Every tech and phone call kept blaming this on wifi issue. Which we knew it was not. To appease them, we got a new modem and router. Shocker, only worked for one day, and back to “offline”. Most of the time only 1 camera works, but currently they are intermittent or completely down. I have endlessly been calling, talking to anyone I can, constantly having tech support attempt to troubleshoot- for no improvement. One specific call, the tech guy literally said “I can’t help there is nothing I can do”, and transferred me to the cancel line- to which she said we’d owe 14k to cancel a service that we are not receiving and they are unable to fix. You can imagine my frustration and anger I had. They are the worst company I’ve ever in my life worked with. They do not care at all for the customer or provide any services to help. I am told every time I call we have to troubleshoot before even speaking to “a manager”. ( even if this was done the week before ). I’ve been hung up on multiple times along with chats ending. This has been the worst most difficult and stressful situation I’ve ever experienced. I was told “sometimes when it’s cold out the cameras may not work”- why on earth do you offer these cameras in a location that has winter for the majority of the year. Why would you think as a paying customer we would be ok with cameras not working yet expected to be paid monthly. The worst company ever. I will continue to share this as often as I can, until someone calls me. I will do everything I can to ensure people do not ever sign up or think about getting ADT. Worst mistake !

DO NOT SKIP WORTH THE READ IF YOU ARE SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING SIGNING UP FOR ADT!!
DO NOT SIGN UP WITH ADT!!!! I’m begging you to not make the same mistake me and my family did. First and foremost, what ever price they say they are going to charge you over the phone is false. Once the installer gets in and does their work you’ll see that official bill jump way up. Next, while it may seem like you’re just renting a few cameras and paying for a month to month service, YOU ARE NOT!! It’s an agreement and they will, no matter what the issue, hold you to it. ANDDD, you can’t make any changes after just 3 DAYS!! How do I test the full scope of a system and service after just 3 DAYS!! Not to mention, they didn’t even install the full system! Apparently they don’t do electrical work so they work with a 3rd party electrician. I was told by the installer that they would be out within the week. Never showed up. I call not once, not twice, but 3 times regarding getting someone out there and the camera is still down!!! There was only one time when some tried to schedule them coming out and I missed the call. When I tried to call back, no answer and I had to call customer service again to start the whole cycle over again. Even worse when I try to cancel regarding that issue, I’m told it’s not included in the 6 month service guarantee because someone hadn’t been out to fix the issue. Well how is me calling and paying for something that’s wasn’t completely installed not a service issue!?!? Like I can’t express how utterly disappointed in the service I am. I rarely find it worth it to write a review but honestly if I can steer as many people as I can away from ADT I feel it will be worth the $90 a month I’m locked into for who knows how long. PLEASE DO NOT DO IT!! There are so many other better and cheaper security companies that I really wish I gave a chance. If you need more, I’ve attached a pic of the uninstalled flood light camera that is now dead from sitting in a box.

Holy CRAP!
I am flabbergasted that this is the ADT with illustrious reputation, because this is NOT my experience.
This company is VERY disingenuous from the dishonest quote for services, from OVER charging your account and literally "hanging on" to money, to the crap equipment and worst of all, absolutely NO ability to speak to ANYONE within this country, let alone my actual region! I am literally on the phone with their "customer service" reps gaslighting me for 4 hours this morning. It should NOT be this hard to resolve the issue! They have no idea what they are talking about! Make sure you check your contract and to cancel your service prior to 60 days or they will gaslight you about that too!

We were very happy with the installation process. The technician was very thorough in explaining the home system along with the mobile app. He was very patient and answered all our questions. As we are retired military and USAA members we also received a great discount on the installation. We highly recommend ADT.

Tech that came out said he could not install doorbell or cameras outside like I wanted after being told by the phone tech that I would be able to get whatever I wanted because of the internet connection I have with spectrum cable

John was timely, polite, professional our service window was 12 to 4 he called at 12 gave me an eta of 1230. Arrived on time.He assisted me with any and all questions and concerns.
