I opened my account at Penfield Rd branch and thought the people there were nice. I recently went to the east ave location. The two bank tellers were absolutely rude and very unwilling to help me. Even the manager was the same. I was so unhappy with the experience I will never ever recommend them to anyone for business.

I’m new with M&T and I’ve only been to this location 3 times. But the last two times the tellers have been rude, nasty and judgemental. I plan on switching banks because of it.

Plz don’t sign up for M & T at all they will literally take your money as it is theirs. Which it is not it’s your money and they just a place holder. Customer service and management is terrible out of all the banks I have been with.

I have never felt as welcome as I feel when I walk into the East Avenue location and I have never not gotten the help I needed when I ask for it, what ever your problems are, the team here always manages to solve them.

Business Owner. A former employee of mine stole a check for over 11K. Business identity theft situation. Business names looked similar but did not match. A kindergartner can tell the difference. Check was for 11,400. Despite me getting police involved immediately and alerting the bank immediately to issue a stop payment, 7 days after being repeatedly told that the check was stolen, forged and fraudulently deposited, M&T moved forward with clearing the check anyway. 137 days into a 90 day investigation, I was told that I would not be getting my money back because the business names matched. M&T ignores my pleas, calls, voicemails and emails. Customer service even ignores me. I whole heartedly believe that if I were not a black woman that I would have received my money back on Day 2 and some degree of compassion. Federal Reserve and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau are now involved. I am doing my part by bringing awareness. Black people please steer clear of M&T Bank. BLM.

I had to leave my review because clearly these negative reviews are tarnishing the truth. This branch has always been great to me and I prefer going here over any other bank I’ve used prior. Shout out to Tim!

Employees are always pleasant but it is the slowest service anywhere. Have pulled up to the drive-thru and sat there with no acknowledgement for so long that I've had to pull around and go inside only to find one customer there.
