They tell you don't call until you are at 40 percent we'll when you do call nobody answers I waited over a hour are they really that busy . I liked it better when my other company was delivering at lest I could get someone on the phone

corrupt company. FORCE you to sign a yearly contract that auto renews to even get propane delivered then dont honor their own contract but will fee you if you brake it. insane! I hope they go out of business. not surprise they have a 1.3 rating on google. they are awful.

After being a loyal customer for 13 years, I am extremely disappointed in the way Superior Propane Plus handled a serious and time-sensitive situation.
While I was out of state, my home ran completely out of propane. I did not realize the tank was that low, and once notified, I immediately contacted Superior Propane Plus to request an emergency refill. This was not a minor inconvenience—it directly affected two elderly individuals living in my home.
My 75-year-old mother, who has health issues, lives in the basement. My 78-year-old mother-in-law, who recently underwent a kidney transplant in March, is recovering here as well and is currently receiving in-home care from occupational therapists, physical therapists, and home health nurses. Heat is not optional in this situation—it is a basic necessity.
Despite explaining all of this in detail, I was told that no expedited delivery would be made and that the earliest refill would be 10 to 14 days out. This was said while outside temperatures are in the 30s, and the interior of my home was already dropping into the 50s.
What is most troubling is not just the delay, but the complete lack of urgency or concern given the circumstances and my long history as a customer. There was no attempt to prioritize the delivery, no escalation, and no reasonable accommodation offered.
After more than a decade of loyalty, I expected significantly better service—especially in a situation involving elderly, medically vulnerable individuals and the loss of heat. This experience has made it clear that customer tenure and safety are not treated as priorities.
Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Superior Propane Plus.

Service is poor. Almost impossible to get anyone on the phone. I have automatic delivery. I received a text on December 17stating I would get a delivery on 12-18. No delivery made. Got a notice on 12-22 that my tank level was at 13%. Later got a text stating they would make a delivery on 12-23. Now may run out and some pilot lights will go out. Recorded message is a joke. “Get automatic delivery and be worry free”!

Superior Plus Propane just recently purchased a local, Family owned company in North Carolina. As I sit her freezing in my home due to lack of heat and total inability to contact anyone despite their 24/7 guaranteed service, I will be immediately moving to a different provider. We've tried 3 times now over the past 2 days and after a collective 4 hours of hold time, we tried to escalate to someone who could help and were told she had no escalation path. This call center is a dead end so tonight we'll huddle together and suffer through a 24 degree night. It's amazing to see how quickly Superior Plus ruined the name of a trusted company who has been in business for nearly 100 years. Don't fall for the claim that Superior has been in business for nearly a century.... they purchased the right to that claim when they purchased (and ruined) the name of a company who provided had established a trusted name. We will be finding another (local) company and cutting ties with this joke of a company as soon as we possibly can.

Terrible company expect to wait 14 days for delivery even when it’s under freezing outside and I have elderly and babies in the house. The rep laughed and told me to “use extra blankets” and then I was charged $150 inspection fee because by the time they came to do the refil the tank was completely empty but that’s only because they made me wait 14 days for delivery which is crazy for an essential service! They also just sprayed soapy water on 1 line and that’s the $150 fee they charged. It took 2 minutes!! I paid and they didn’t tell me until after! I waited on hold for 2 hours literally before they picked up the phone! They do t have an office so calling is the only option. Terrible company terrible customer service take your business elsewhere!! Do not use this company!!

Up until recently my experience with this company has been good and I thought they were fair. This past year they sent me a contract renewal at $1.00 per gallon higher than my current rate. I explained to them that is insane and will cost me hundreds of dollars more per month.
I ended up shopping around and found another company. They told me they have up to 30 days to come get the old tanks. They also said there would be a $165 fee for pickup. I waited over 30 days (they never came). After being on hold for an hour I got informed that they never even opened a service ticket to come get my tanks. I request that they waive the $165 fee as they failed to complete what they said. They said okay.
They finally get the tanks. I look at my invoice and they charged me the $165 fee. I tried calling, there is 80 people ahead of me in the queue.

Bad, bad bad!!! delivered propane to my tank without my authorization. I did not place any order, was not contacted for scheduling, and have never signed up for automatic delivery or “keep full” service. Also they charge me extra fee calls “Hazmat Fee” and“Fuel Recovery Fee” is these fee legal?

I noticed this company has been getting pretty well hammered with bad reviews so I felt necessary to share my experience and say that they have not been all that bad with me.
I resumed service on a new house, they came and checked lines, one line had a leak, The service man on hand repaired it (thank you). They came back again and swapped old tanks with new and automatically scheduled a fill service for them.
I have spoken on the phone with their customer service reps a few times now and each time they have been very pleasant and easy to talk to. The wait time is usually a few minutes to connect with someone but that is really not an issue.
If something changes I will revise my review but they have done a nice job overall for me. Dont be scared of the reviews altogether like i was when i first saw them!

Came and shut off our gas valve. We do not even work with them. We get our propane from another company. This seems illegal.

Absolutely ridiculous that I was not informed that any leak test would be needed when I called to order a refill. I specifically said my tank was at 0% when I called and I was not informed that someone would need to be home for the leak test to be completed. I have now went the entire weekend without hot water or the ability to use my stove due to the failure of someone doing their job.

Worst company I have ever dealt with. I wish I could give them a negative srar review. I ordered propane a week ago and when I received the delivery they turned the tank off and said no one was here because they didn't want to come up the driveway, although I was home all day. I called customer service to see why none of my appliances or furnace was working and 2 reps hung up on me.
