This is actually a pretty good post office for stuff you do in person, but we moved and paid for a year of forwarded mail. After a few months, though, forwarding became unreliable to nonexistent- meaning we've missed a lot of important mail, as well as most of our Holiday mail from friends. So: some nice people there, but when a post office is returning or losing a significant amount of your incoming mail, one star is too much.

Honestly of all local post offices in my area this one is tops. From someone who sells a lot online, seems like literally within an hour or so after I drop a package off in their package drop its scanned and on their way. Makes my customers happy to see its been shipped quickly and I look like a hero.

I kept getting mail for a person with NOT my first name but same last name. So I wrote moved by the first name and put it in return mail spot. I Never filled out a stop mail form and the carrier took it upon themselves just to stop my mail! Hello! Why the heck would they stop my mail without a form being filled out and signed you just go by assumption??!. Leave your assumptions at home next time and go by the USPS rules! Why even have forms if the carriers are just going to do what they want!?!So freaking annoying!

I respect postal workers, but this has been the worst mail experience I've ever had. MONTHS after moving they won't deliver my son's mail half the time because his last name is different than mine. We still get the previous owner's mail though CONSTANTLY and they did the official address change just as we did. They've also busted a package and we're zero help. Told me to contact the seller to fill out a form and gave me zero other information.

Shipped before noon on Wednesday, paid a lot for 2-day shipping because buyer needs the item, AFTER I paid and they make the label do they hand me a receipt that says arriving in THREE days, on Saturday. Can anyone explain why I paid nearly $150 for two day shipping that isn’t two day when I came to the post office before noon? Buyer is going to be livid

Was at the Post Office today in Penfield and can't say enough how helpful the gentlemen was at the front service desk. Had multiple things to take care of and he made everything easy as could be. Thank you! Anthony Forgione

I can’t say I’ve never had a problem with their mail carriers, but in general, the service from this office has been great.There was one instance years ago where I was waiting for a package that showed it was out for delivery. The mail truck drove by and delivered the mail, but I didn’t get my package. I looked up the tracking number again, and the driver had noted that she tried to deliver the package, but no one was home. I had been inside waiting for the package the whole time. I figure the driver didn’t want to leave their vehicle because of the snow, but that’s their job. I called the 800 number and reported the incident. That was the only time I had that kind of issue.On the other hand, this office has also gone out of their way to make sure I got my package. There was a time I received an oversized package from Germany, and Mike (manager) called me to organize a pickup, explaining that they’re not even supposed to accept packages that size and there would be an additional charge if he needed to have a driver deliver it. We worked things out and I was able to come with a minivan to pick it up.

I have only been here twice to return packages and Laurie is the most miserable and unpleasant employee. She treats you like a nuisance and is extremely rude, I also watched as she interacted with everyone in front of me. My 2 interactions with her were so unpleasant I'd rather drive to a further USPS. I hope management starts to look at these reviews and she is let go... either that or Laurie see's this and quits.

The grumpy lady needs to quit her job and go find something else to do. She clearly hates her job and everyone that comes in the door. Terrible service every time I go, avoid this location!

The lady that works on the right side register ( customers facing registers right side) is the rudest person I've ever seen working at the post office. Every time i go in there she not only gives me a attitude but everyone else as well! She yelled at a lady when she was just simply was looking at stamps telling here to get away from here area when she's with another customer( she was well over 6 feet away). And she was very rude about it and the lady looked very upset and embarrassed. Then the other day she shut here lane with more that 10 minutes left and told me she's closed! She shut down way to early because every time i go to Penfield's other post office they never do that. Hopefully someone can address this issue because its a very unpleasant experience dealing with her and I always need to ship things with my job.
