The beach is suitable for families, groups, and individuals, with areas for different activities and plenty of space even on busy days like July 4th weekend. Vendors provide food and drinks, but many visitors prefer to bring their own lunches. Additionally, there are playgrounds and spots for fishing, mostly targeting porgies and flukes. Overall, Riis is considered one of the best beaches in NYC—clean, reliable, and less crowded than other beaches, offering a relaxed atmosphere for all visitors.

Wonderful place to take the family and or cycle by yourself. Restroom open to the public and plenty of place to get something to eat or drink.

The beach is nice and clean. But I feel the parking fee is a little too much, $20. Besides drivers also have to pay a toll to get to the beach. NY is just too expensive.
