“Driving on leafy Route 28 will take you past rolling hills of the Catskills and also bring you here to Olive's Country Store in about 10 minutes from Woodstock. If you want firewood for your chimney, kitchen items, board games, Vermont chocolate truffles, camping+fishing supplies- this is the spot. Heck, I'm even sure you'll get a good fill of gossip- and won't ever leave disappointed. Come hungry- as Olive's has Board's Head products, sandwiches, salads, cooked veggies available, etc. Oh....and come for breakfast. Nothing fancy- just the basics: bagels, pancakes, omelette, toast, etc. The hot beverage station is stocked with regular and decaf coffee thermoses, several tea flavors (awesome)- including a Bigelow Chai Vanilla, several types of creamers, milk and non-dairy as well. Take a seat in their dining room in the back and enjoy your breakfast or lunch without any pressure. I'm not sure if they use the same griddle for eggs and pork- so I played it safe with a toasted plain bagel+butter and got hubs the toasted bagel with bacon+cream cheese. My bagel isn't anything high-end but it had some plumpness, slightly crunchy outside and with just enough tug to the chew. Olive's offers a different type of shopping. Service is friendly with that 'country store' energy and price, is decent.”

“In my busy day I rushed in to pay for gas & at the same time get change of money not realizing what I was doing the cashier calmly tried to make sense of what I actually wanted & made me realize I had to slow down long enough to make sense of things especially things that are as important as money. I felt so bad that I couldn't stop apologizing for my nonsense, but he was a gentleman & smiled & said "slow down & things will get better for you now go and enjoy your day and if I don't see you again happy holidays and have a good life." I was feeling like a lil piece of terd, yet I was blessed in how kind & patient he was with me. I'm definitely going there again & recommend anyone else as well. HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE STAY SAFE.”

This shop the manager Donna is always so nice and every one of the staff greets me as soon as the door opens. It's so nice makes me smile. Then the coffee is always fresh and my boyfriend appreciates that then last is the bathroom, it is the cleanest so far in any stewarts even the new ones. So thank you very much fir your service.”

So, I decided to take a walk to the local corner store/gas station at Stewart's Shops.I love the cleanliness - a big thing to me, the variety of choices, the store is well kept, it smells great in there (food & their coffee), prices are reasonable, and the best part? They have an AWESOME staff. Such wonderful customer service from each team member there, pleasantly surprised me. I will enjoy spending money there. The staff was so helpful, engaging, and genuinely care about their customers. “My family and I love living down the street from Stewart’s! We’ve lived here for 3 years and my toddler has grown up on Stewart’s milk. It’s always fresh and it tastes better than any other milk around. They also serve up delicious meatballs and chili on a regular basis. We even pop in for a pizza from time to time. I adore the friendly staff and the shop is always clean, tidy and well stocked. It’s obvious that the staff truly cares. Always a positive experience!”

Would be 5 stars if not for the high gas prices compared to other stations. It is 1/4 mile off of the Taconic Pkwy.”

“Stewart's began as a family run ice cream shop, and they made their own ice cream. Nowadays they're all over the area as a normal convenience store and gas station; pretty ordinary. But they still make their own ice cream, and it's delicious! I stop by for a cone whenever I can as a reward if I've been good or a pick-me-up if I haven't.”
