Great reason to take a trip to the hamlet of Highland to enjoy its shops, bars, restaurants, local natural sights, & hiking trails! Pictured here is an order of beef over rice, perfectly seasoned in a mildly spicy experience. The salad & rice cleanse the palate in a healthful & refreshing way. Only complaint is the overly generous offering of tahini (sesame sauce) in a non-leak-resistant container; had I traveled a longer distance before enjoying my lunch, the sauce probably would've leaked all over the contents of the bag.β
βThis is a great little store with friendly and helpful staff. I got coffee and some sweets. The coffee was really good, and the sweets were fresh and tasty. Itβs a nice, well-kept shop.
I needed to rent a U-Haul, and the process was quick and easy. The truck was clean and ready to go with all the equipment I needed. Deval was a big help. He loaded the equipment into the truck and made both pickup and drop-off smooth and hassle-free.
Great service all around. I highly recommend this location for both U-Haul rentals and a quick stop at the store!β
βWhat a treat. I had breakfast there and it was the best meal I've had since moving to Ulster County in November. Eggs cooked to perfection, just as I ordered, crisp bacon full of flavor, and the best home fries, fresh and hot, buttered wheat toast, and very good strong Brazilian blend coffee. The cook is very talented and deserves a raise. The store is bright and well cared for.
After having two more meals there, I have to downgrade my rating. I asked for a menu and the woman at the counter said they don't have one. So you just order something and see if you have it? She said yes. I asked if they served hamburger steak and she said we have hamburgers. Absurd situation.
Must give credit when it's due: they now have excellent signboard menus. Comprehensive and clear.β
βStopped by Cedar Street Deli to give Akram his Best of Ulster stickers. Cedar Street was voted best chopped cheese in Ulster a few months back. Cedar Street is such a hidden gem. Chicken wings and fish breaded in house never frozen. Lamb over rice, over fries, over salad, over anything you want. House made white sauce is the perfect condiment on anything. Keep up the good work Akram.β
βReally nice breakfast. Calling ahead will reduce your wait time. Good selection of grocery items for your hike. Solid beverage and beer selection. Nice owner. Crowded at peak times, but that should be expected and is a good sign!β

Love the family essence of the storeβ¦ everything is wonderful. If you get the chance to visit while their local homegrown tomatoes are being harvested.. you will never want any tomato other than theirs!!

βI travel alot and my stops are always stewarts in different areas for coffee,snack and to use the bathroom . This shop the manager Donna is always so nice and every one of the staff greets me as soon as the door opens. It's so nice makes me smile. Then the coffee is always fresh and my boyfriend appreciates that then last is the bathroom, it is the cleanest so far in any stewarts even the new ones. So thank you very much fir your service.β
βAs far as I know this is just the Mobil store. Good Beer Cave and pretty average gas station fare in terms of options. They do do some sandwiches and a Hallel spinner thing though I've never tried any of it.β

βVery busy place. Lots of gas pumps. Reasonable selection of food for a typical convenience store. There is a Dunkin Donuts inside as well as a drive thru. Store is clean and well staffed. Would be 5 stars if not for the high gas prices compared to other stations. It is 1/4 mile off of the Taconic Pkwy.β

βHidden gem. Must stop in and check out their country store. They have this small batch made chocolate that is out of this world. Really good! Plus it's your go to spot for most things you could use traveling.β

βDorothy the pharmacist goes above and beyond to help. This is by far the best pharmacy in ulster County.
Clean, no crowds, like the over crowded Washington Ave cvs.
Also received my covid booster and flu shot, so easy!

βNice people, I have to ride my bike 22 minutes to get there now that the Ulster Ave store is closed, it's well worth the ride passing multiple places to get coffee and other stuff. The Speedway/7-11 exclusive Punk Bunny coffee is really good, Speedway coffee in general is good but I'm partial to the Punk Bunny flavors, I have bought the k-cups and ground. I've been going to 7-11 since I was a kid in Texas back in the late 70's, early 80's, and grew up a customer on the Hess stores that happily turned to Speedway/7-11.β
βThe clerk guy at check out, (I think he is Puerto Rican) always greets me with a smile and welcome comment! I feel like shopping at the Stone Ridge Walgreens more often just to feel welcome.He always offers to help find things and is very patient. I am surprised to read bad comments about the pharmacy!! They have always been super nice and competent with me!!!β

βMy girlfriend and I are very loyal to Stewart's Ice Cream Shoppes. They bring me wonderful memories as my Uncle Jim used to take me there for ice cream when I was growing up. My girlfriend had ice cream and I ate a large, fresh banana, along with a sugar-free Cherry Pepsi. They also had many offerings from their in-store grocery store. Their restroom was immaculate. Stewart's always attracts a friendly crowd. Their customer service is outstanding. They offer all kinds and flavors of ice cream and healthy choices that are diabetic and vegetarian friendly.β
