“Small but very nice Japanese grocery. I bought a bento and it was very good, bought some miso, mushrooms, dashi and other items. It was reasonable. The cashier was very helpful.”

“My favorite market! I never leave yelp reviews but I feel compelled to share my experience. I am a new mom and I have only been food shopping with my new baby twice and both times the cashiers at holiday farms insisted on loading my items onto the conveyor belt for me (despite me saying that wasn't necessary) and both times the cashiers also insisted on assisting me out to my car and loading my groceries for me. It might not seem like a big deal but these acts of kindness really helped me. Holiday farms has always been my favorite market and even more so now! Small acts of kindness go a long way :)”

“The location is pretty good. The selection is extravagant, but not the best I've ever seen for a Trader Joe's. When I went there, it was extremely busy with lots of people bumping into each other and parking was not as easy as it could have or normally is. The prices for most things were very good and typical of trader Joe's, but there are a few items that you'd probably want to buy elsewhere as they clock in at a few dollars above the norm. One such example is the tomato sauce. The tomato sauce here was a few dollars above what you'd find at either a typical supermarket (Stop & Shop/ShopRite) or a big box store (BJ's/Costco).Overall, I was very happy with the store and the customer service was very friendly and welcoming.”

“I need to explore this store more but popped in to check out the bakery and it did not disappoint. Prosciutto bread, onion rolls, and apple turnovers were all excellent. The bread loaves all looked awesome. Cheese selection looks great as does the produce. Was hoping to grab some fresh pierogi but a worker showed me where they would have been but they didn't have them that day. Bakery line was busy but checkout lines were fast. Will be back for sure.”

“my favorite natural food market on Long Island. Rose makes the most delicious carrot cake that my family requests for birthday celebrations every year. Fresh juices, a healthy deli selection, and access to holistic supplements has kept my family shopping here for almost two decades.”

“Nice place, but waaaaaaaay over priced. $6 for carrots ? they're definitely taking advantage of the affluent neighborhood. Bought a small apple pie ($23) and it tasted good but it's like a jiffy pop popcorn, obnoxiously high crust so you can't cut a slice cleanly, definitely can NOT serve this to guests, impossible to plate (see pics) also a small 6" zucchini bread ($8.95) it was good.”

“The store is very good you can find anything .Only my complain is their computer make mistake all the time.Everytime I go I have to go back again for correction. They have to pay more attention.”

“This place is full with all imported goods. And some local items as well too. You can go in there to find the items that can help you create the perfect sushi ? or something exotic. Some of the delicacies come ready to open the box, cook and enjoy. There is a food court and a small clothing shop and even some exotic appliances that are available to purchase. Make sure bring your own bag.”

“Love this place, but I do miss AJ. He always greeted each customer. Management wouldn’t tell me where he went, although one of the workers confided in me that he went to work at a market in Brooklyn. Good luck to you AJ!As for North Shore Farms, I do come here a lot because it’s so close to my home. Plus, their produce is fresh and the workers are helpful (except the guy in the cheese dept who has given me an attitude when I had previously asked him a question). I also love their deli dept. There are so many delicious things to purchase when I don’t want to cook. Yes, their prices have increased, but that has been the case everywhere.”

“Love the selection of products they carry, however, it it pricer than the average supermarket. Fresh produce, large of variety of cheeses, olives, spreads, assorted bakery treats (cookies, cakes, breads) - I sometimes only go for their brownies and leave with a bag full of yum!Their deli has lots of choices but is more expensive than I can typically afford. I've paid about $12 and change for a slice of lasagna though it was really delicious; had good amounts of meat and cheese and I'm picky about that.”

“Generally I really like it here. Amazing cheese and veggies selection. However, the milk is expensive ($8.39 for a half gallon of Horizon). And tonight I bought some meatballs from the deli section that were pretty gross, to be honest (and pricey at $11 for two).”

“Ordered Roma sandwich - prosciutto, mozzarella, eggplant and pepper - it was fresh and delicious. Bread was crusty and airy. I want to try everything else. The staff was friendly.”

“I'm only taking 1 star off because isn't it known as a dairy place but has no chocolate milk? HOW? WHY? lol. Anyway my dad supposedly told us about this place years ago and our son would like it, but it wasn't until my hub's coworker told him about it did we say lets go! Took our son and y up he loved it. Got some yummy cookies, tried the cider, and debated strawberry milk but nah. Also of course tried their ice cream which is good. We'll probably come back around halloween, maybe they'll have some kind of chocolate milk or I heard it's cool for the holiday :P”

“A+ Butcher shop. Prepared foods are amazing, and Kenny is always there with a smile and a reccomendation!I must pass 20 butcher shops on the 30 minute ride to get to A&F but the ride is always worth it.Thanks guys keep up with the good work!”

“I found this place randomly one day. The food is a pleasant surprise. They serve healthier tasting dishes with less grease than traditional filipino places. The convenience of their grocery section is a plus. It’s a small mom and pop spot with all the pantry staples and snacks. The price is a bit higher than what you can find at big Asian grocers, but considering the ease of having everything you need in one place it is fair. The options are limited here in LI and I can easily pass on the trip to Roosevelt Ave for this spot instead.”

“Truly one of a kind grocery store and the highlight of the area. Quality gourmet foods, fresh or prepackaged. Enormous cheese and fish selection. Excellent baked goods. It's fun just to browse this store, you never know what you'll find.”

“My favorite place to buy my groceries. Been shopping there for over 20 years. This is a seasonal fruit and vegetable market in the old world style. The prices and quality of the produce are excellent for in-season fruit. We can't expect to get the same quality of the same produce when it is out of season for anyone who posted a poor review. Since my children were little the great displayed produce helped them find new and interesting fruit and veggies to eat. Many times they see a new seasonal item and tried it. Cross Island is a great family run business by owner Joe who is always watching over the quality. The staff on the aisles recognizes customers and is always helpful. The butcher and seafood are top notch and beat any poor factory style meat from the big corporate chains. Shop local and support your community by sharing this great gem in Lynbrook. They have helped me raise a healthy family for years.”

“The deli department is spectacular, run by a woman named Fran who they call “Mama”. Loads of homemade delicacies, salads, homemade roast beef, eggplant Parmesan and rollatini, lasagna, homemade chili, creamy Mac and cheese, fresh roasted Turkey breast, bbq chickens and other entrees all reasonably priced. They also do catering which is top notch. Produce department is always well stocked with the freshest local veggies and a great assortment of fresh fruit and some impressive vegetable and fruit platters. The meat department has the most tender cuts of beef and steaks and chops, fresh chicken, pork and veal. Always fresh and well displayed.”

“This place is awesome!! I’m not Greek, but I love the food, this guy takes it to another level. Everything he has is home made besides all the imported Greek products but he explains everything to me and teaches me about the food and what’s healthy, what’s not, and he just is an incredibly great human being.”

“Would be five stars if not for the horrible parking experience. Actually parked in the outdoor mall a bit west and walked over. Smaller Trader Joe’s, but very clean and well lighted with wide aisles. Shelves are nicely stocked. Attractive merchandising throughout. Check out area has ample, friendly cashiers and they keep things moving. Nice place to shop.”
