“I love the atmosphere of this place. The long front porch with rocking chairs is a perfect place to relax after a busy day. They provide you three meals with your stay. The food is delicious and they make their own maple syrup from trees on the property. It has been extremely hot so the pools were wonderful to have. Did some hiking on the trails provided on the property. They have enough to do here that you don’t need to go anywhere else.”
“Wonderful cozy Feb 2026 getaway. Easy drive from NYC. Clean room with powerful shower. All the details are very intentional. Morning inclusive breakfast is just what is needed to get the day started. Plenty of sublime nooks to sit in. Delicious food (definitely get the fried chicken sandwich), and live music adds to a wonderful evening.
We did not miss any TV in the room. Comfy bed.
Plentiful parking.
There’s no downside to this place and we look forward to returning in the summer.”
“I’ve stayed with friends in “The Lodge” and most recently in “The Hideout”. Wonderful place. It is so peaceful. You could spend your stay relaxing at your tiny home and enjoying the amenities on site. There’s a pool, a tiny gym, a gorgeous waterfall as well as a 24/7 pantry with items you may have forgotten to bring with you or maybe just for a midnight snack. There are plenty of great hiking spots nearby as well as small towns with lots of character and shops. We’ll be back again soon!”
“Mcgraths is an amazing and homely place with wonderful bar staff who treat you like family and make you feel so welcome. The rooms are outstanding, clean and modern and the location is so beautiful. Highly recommend visit! Their breakfast is also fantastic!”
“We absolutely loved our stay at Camptown! It’s one of those places where you arrive and immediately feel like you can relax.
Josie checked me in and she was fantastic. She really took her time with me, gave me a map of the property, explained everything, and told me about all the different experiences they offer. She was so warm and welcoming and really made a great first impression. Even my Whippet, Chloe, got a little welcome treat, and it was actually such a nice, high-quality treat. Of course, she loved it!
The room was beautiful and so comfortable. The bed was amazing and the sheets were such great quality - I slept incredibly well. I also loved being able to make our own fire. It made the whole Catskills experience feel even more special.
The pool was another highlight. Super clean, peaceful, and just a really nice place to spend the afternoon. Overall, the service throughout the property was excellent.
And Casa Susanna… honestly, the food was incredible. Really creative and authentic Mexican cuisine and definitely not your typical hotel restaurant. The blood sausage was my favorite! The service was wonderful as well, and I loved that I could bring Chloe with me. The entire property is genuinely dog-friendly, which makes traveling so much easier.
I also loved the mornings there. Complimentary coffee starts at 7am in the lobby, and Henry was already at the front desk greeting everyone with a big smile. He gave us some great recommendations for the area and was just genuinely friendly. Those little interactions make such a difference.
Camptown has a very special feeling. It’s beautiful and stylish, but still casual and comfortable. You really feel at home there, and the staff makes you feel like they are happy to have you.
A big thank you to Enrique, the new Hotel Manager, for making everything happen and making our stay so enjoyable!
We loved it so much that I’m already booking another trip for October with a bunch of friends. I cannot wait to experience Camptown during the fall season. I have a feeling it’s going to be beautiful. See you soon!”
“The Shamrock House is a true Catskills gem. It’s an Irish pub, restaurant, inn, and event venue all in one, and it captures that warm Irish hospitality the area is known for. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly, and the food is delicious—classic “Pub Grub” mixed with comforting, home-style Irish meals.
It’s a cherished Greene County landmark, and always a great spot for good food, good company, and genuine Irish charm. Highly recommend!”
“Great place! Went for New Years Eve and had a great time! They had a pre fixed menu and the lamb shank was amazing. Staff were very attentive and kind. Wound up renting a room for the night .. very clean and affordable.
Thanks for a great night!”
“My family and I recently returned from Baumanns Brookside Resort following an extended weekend getaway. We found Baumanns three years ago and have been returning every summer since. Baumanns has been a family run resort for more than 100 years! It is a quaint resort tucked away in the Catskill Mountains. This resort offers an abundance of food at every meal, served family style, three times daily. I especially enjoy their outdoor BBQ's which offer a variety of food choices such as hot dogs, burgers, pulled pork, chicken and even steak, along with a variety of homemade salads, vegetables and desserts. Throughout the day and night there are a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities for people of all ages. There is also an outdoor pool, and fire pit, and the resort is just minutes away from a large water-park. The entire resort staff are friendly, engaged and obliging. Patrons are free to roam the premises and even fish in the lake. The atmosphere at the resort is layed back and highly relaxing. There is no pressure to do anything but what you desire. My family, friends and I leave happy and feeling recharged. Baumanns is also reasonably priced. It's a great country place for family and friends to make lasting, happy memories. We have already made our reservations and will definitely return again next summer!”
“Nice staff, convenient location 15 minutes drive from Catskill. They turned on the pool 1 hour before the regular time so we could enjoy it before checkout. No vreakfast, but we used a picnic table near the pool to make our own breakfast.
Rooms are cozy though air consitioning is old and noisy, but we did not need it much.
Located close to a road so there was a bit of car noise. Great mountainous area will good views.
Great value for money, cheaper than anything around, at least on Google and Booking”
“Halie made my stay so comfortable. She was friendly, helpful, and attentive! Water, coffee, and s’mores are all included with the destination fee. Bring your own cooking oil.”

“As local residents sometimes we forget about La Doria went there on Tuesday night and had a great meal the vegetable medley was to die for with a wonderful wait staff very pleasant and a great ambience. Will remember to come back again”
“We had a lovely stay. The grounds are beautiful, and we especially loved the floor-to-ceiling glass view of the woods from our room. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and my massage at the spa was excellent.
A couple of small things could make the experience even better. It would be nice to have more changing and shower facilities at the spa, as I wasn’t able to change or shower after my massage. We also found the included breakfast a bit limited and would have appreciated a more substantial offering. The food at dinner was delicious, however.
Overall, though, it’s a beautiful, peaceful property and we really enjoyed our stay.”
“Good option for getting off the road at a reasonable price. Friendly, quick and easy check-in. The rooms are definitely dated and could use some extra cleaning TLC behind furniture but was descent for the most part. Beds were comfy but flat pillows. Street noise was minimal overnight but start early in the morning. Mini fridge and microwave are a nice touch if you need that”
“My husband and I spent 3 days last week at the Inn. We have been there many times through the years. It is under a new ownership who continues to make you feel very comfortable. They gave us a bottle of champagne to celebrate our anniversary. The manager went out of her way to accommodate my gluten free diet supplying me with GF muffins and more. The room was cozy. Our dog loved it there. It was a very positive experience.”
“This place is fantastic. I’ve been going every year of my life and this place has been in my family ever since my great grandma. I’ve been able to enjoy every second of it. Very private and a connection-only type of resort. Place has been around forever so don’t expect very fancy rooms with modern-technology. You’re supposed to be away from modern electronics.
Dining room and platters are absolutely fantastic. Everything from Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and dessert. Waiters are absolutely amazing and always check on you. If you don’t like their traditional German food, you can always go to some restaurant around the resort. There are plenty. Everything from the activities to eating, to drinking, to dancing, there is everything you can possibly think of. The snack bar and the Kuhstall are my personal favorite. They’re always opened very late and they have plenty of drinks and food to choose from. Not to mention the views that are there. I could not think of a better place to stay at on earth. The place always makes me feel safe.”
