“I’m so glad I found Head to Tail Animal Hospital. I moved to the Brookhaven area about six years ago and continued traveling 30 minutes to my old veterinarian because I couldn’t find a place I truly trusted—or a doctor who made me feel comfortable. That changed with my very first visit to Dr. Cohen.
I never feel rushed, pressured, or dismissed. Dr. Cohen is incredibly genuine, and her entire staff is consistently pleasant and welcoming. I’ve since transferred all of my pets to their care.
What stands out most is that they listen to understand, not just to respond. At other veterinary offices, I often felt pushed into unnecessary tests or procedures, and when I explained that something wasn’t financially feasible, I felt dismissed. That has never happened here. Instead, we take things one step at a time to figure out what’s going on and determine the best way to move forward.

He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and was very gentle with my dog. His staff was very very friendly and helpful as well. “I had a really great experience here and wanted to leave a review because they truly deserve it. I brought my dog King in for a visit and the entire experience from start to finish was excellent. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming, and the doctor was extremely patient, gentle, and professional with my dog.
They really took their time, explained everything clearly, and never made me feel pressured into doing anything. They walked me through the options, answered all my questions, and let me make the decisions at my own pace. You can tell they genuinely care about the animals and not just rushing people in and out.
They were also very calm and gentle handling my dog, which meant a lot to me. Overall, very professional, very polite, and just genuinely good people. I’m really glad I chose this office and I feel very comfortable bringing my dog back here in the future.

“Several years ago, I got my female’s ears recropped by Dr Fitzgerald and she fixed them to be much better from what a previous vet had done. Almost 3 years later, my female had her first litter after much work and planning, and I knew from the start where I was going to take all her puppies. Dr Fitzgerald did an AMAZING job on all 5 puppies and I could not be more excited to see what the end result is. I kept one from the litter and if she continues to develop nicely, I will show her!”

“i love this vet clinic very much. i have been going here for years ever since i got my first guinea pig back in 2016. i really can’t stop recommending this place to all of my friends and family who are getting new fur babies. when one of my pigs past away recently, they were so accommodating and understanding, they sent a sympathy card and took his nose and paw prints. they treat your animal like it’s their own. we got a rescue husky last year, and dr troyan has been answering any and all questions that we have about caring for him. can’t thank them enough!!”
“The best vet on the island!! I have taken all of my animals here and would not bring them anywhere else. Our one cat saw both Dr. Kraneburg and Dr. Robbin’s and they are both absolutely amazing and extremely helpful. We recently had to take our cat for an emergency to the ER and had to put her down and Dr. Robbin’s was kind enough to send us a sympathy card after hearing about our baby after just seeing her a few days before her passing . We are so thankful for their kindness always 🩷🩷”
“I called as a new patient appointment and needed to be seen the same day. My puppy was in the ER Vet over the weekend and still wasn’t doing good. I don’t know the receptionist name but she was so kind and compassionate on the phone and got me in within the hour. The Dr and nurse Stephanie were soooo amazing and Dr went and listened to me tell him what was going on. He immediately had a game plan and she was medicated and I was sent home with medication as well. We are now making this our new vet. Each and every person we came in contact with was just wonderful. They understood the situation and we were treated with such compassion and kindness. I highly recommend them.”
“A friend recommended these guys when our lab's right ACL was having problems. So glad we've taken her there. Everyone is so friendly, patient and truly caring for the pets they look after. And their price for the surgery is very, very reasonable. They're almost an hour drive for us to get there, but it's so worth it. Can't recommend these guys enough.”

“Dr. Cronin is incredibly caring, kind and humane with you and your fur babies. She's honest, transparent and explains everything to you so that you make an informed decision. She doesn't manipulate you into getting unnecessary things that won't help your vet reach a diagnosis. And if what is needed is something out of her expertise, she will provide a referral to a trusted expert. I have the utmost respect and appreciation for Dr. Cronin and her friendly staff. Because it's a small practice, don't wait until the last minute to make an appointment. However, if you need to be seen same day, call and many times they will do their best to accommodate you. This is a great and loving practice.”
“We thought our Labrador Retriever swallowed an engagement ring. She has a habit of eating things she shouldn’t and East End is always there for us. They were calm and professional (and calmed us down, too.) We found the ring later after the vet assured us it wasn’t inside our dog. The cat had swatted it off the sink counter and it was hidden inside a bag! We appreciate everyone at East End.”

“My nieces cat has had terrible allergies for a year. Her last vet just kept giving steroids and didn't recommend blood work or much else. A colleague referred me here and we have been blown away by: 1) the empathy on the phone 2) the availability for an appt 3) the time Dr.Tara took to listen to the background, review records from the former vet, and explain a strategy. We aren't sure if the treatments will work yet, but we know we are in good hands!”
