Very disappointing. I knew it would be closed, but it was kind of dumpy with no signage to provide background or history.

To help family understand region...worthwhile to e destination. Parking etc not great. But worth touring,!!!? Not huge. So enough to see before children get antsy.

The museum is a bit small, but packed full of all manner of Stevenson-related memorabilia, and its curator does an excellent job of bringing the whole thing to life.

You have to rate to review but this is just to alert people that while Google may reflect the museum is open it was not open. Actually the signage stated it is open from July 1 until September 1 and for a few hours in the morning and then a few hours in the afternoon. Would’ve loved to been able to view this museum.

Incredibly informative display of his history and travels and writings. So many original artifacts. Very accessible and only a $5 admission fee. An absolute must
