Beautiful animal sanctuary with fun, caring people taking care of the animals. We loved our visit and would absolutely come again! Hanging out with the goats, horses, cows, chickens, and sheep was very therapeutic and wonderful.

We went as a field trip with Elting Memorial Library in New Paltz. The staff was kind and patient with a group of toddlers and caretakers. They were informative and fun, perfect for the kiddos and adults to enjoy. Thank you for this service!

Wendy gave a great tour! We got to meet so many animals and even hug cows. She was extremely knowledgeable and you can tell the animals are happy there.
We are open for Public Tours from April-November every weekend and for Private Tours all-year round BY RESERVATION ONLY. ALL TOUR TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE. NO DROP-IN VISITS OF ANY KIND ARE PERMITTED. This is to ensure the safety of our rescued animals as well as our guests & staff members.
Founded in 2001, Catskill Animal Sanctuary is a non-profit, 148-acre refuge in New York's Hudson Valley. We provide a home to ten species of rescued farmed animals with between 200 and 400 residents at any given time. In addition to direct animal aid, the Sanctuary offers on-site tours and educational programs that advocate veganism as the very best way to end animal suffering, improve human health, and heal an ailing planet.
