Catskill Animal Sanctuary is a beautiful and amazing non-profit refuge in New York's Hudson Valley, providing a loving home to over 150 rescued farm animals. The passionate, friendly, and very kind staff cares so much, ensuring the animals are well taken care of, loved, and living their very best lives. The sanctuary offers fun, informative, educational, and entertaining guided tours. These tours are respectful of the animals' well-being and mindful of guest safety, allowing visitors to see the calm and sweet residents. Guests describe a wonderful and joyful experience, noting the contagious love and adorable animals. Memorable moments include hugging cows, seeing a pig enjoy a belly rub, and spending time with the friendly Underfoot goats. Founded in 2001, the 148-acre sanctuary advocates veganism to end animal suffering, improve human health, and heal the planet. It is highly recommended for a visit, an experience not to be forgotten. The sanctuary is open for public tours on Saturdays from April through November and for private tours year-round by reservation only. All tour tickets must be purchased in advance; no drop-in visits are permitted to ensure safety. Donations are also welcomed.

I had an amazing time meeting the animals, and I’m so grateful that CAS exists to give them the love and care they deserve. Our tour guide, Nodira, was phenomenal. I’ll definitely be back!
