“I adopted 3 female domestic rats from this shelter in September 2023. I was impressed at how well all the animals there were cared for, regardless of their species. I was also glad that they screen all prospective adopters.
It was well worth my long trip from Connecticut. Sadly, the last of my 3 Ulster County SPCA fur babies passed away of old age yesterday, but I'd gladly adopt again from them if others become available. ?”

“My mother has been at Ferncliff for almost a year and the staff has made several decisions to move her to the wing and floor with the right atmosphere for her to be happy. It is a nice touch for a rather large place when staff members on another floor or in the elevator know her by name and say hello.”

“We loved our time at the sanctuary. We were having a not so great trip and the sanctuary saved the trip. The animals were all friendly. The staff was great and allowed us to join in a kid tour even though my son is 15 years old. All the animals are named. It was a wonderful and peaceful day. I am also so happy with the purchases we made at the gift store. Very clean and friendly farm. We loved it and haven/t stopped talking about it yet.”
