Excellent store with a great selection!
West Elm has an amazing variety of stylish and high-quality home furnishings. The store is beautifully organized, making it easy to browse through their wide range of furniture, décor, and accessories. The staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the products. Every visit feels inspiring — highly recommend this store for anyone looking to upgrade their home with modern, elegant pieces!
Their product quality is consistently impressive, and everything feels thoughtfully designed. The store ambiance is calm and inviting, making shopping a real pleasure. Delivery and assembly services are also efficient and reliable — a great all-around experience!

I can't recommend Melissa Alvarez enough. Friendly, informative, and educational. My father was shopping for a sofa and Melissa answered every question thoroughly, provided information that helped inform his decision, and provided swatches that were in line with his needs. She was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We highly recommend asking for Melissa.

I have been to this store twice. My today’s experience was bad in terms of requesting a gift wrap. The staff seemed a bit hostile, unfriendly and very defensive about accepting that the gift wrapping has gone down in quality and maintaining that’s what it always has been. My experience in the Westport, CT store has been way way nicer. The gift wrapping is now in non-logoed white boxes (looks like file storage in iron mountain) with west elm logoed low quality ribbon. The outer bags are the cheap stuff that you get in some grocery stores. Whatever happened to the premium white big paper bags !!!

Just purchased sofa Saturday with 2 months lead time.Over weekend found one we liked much better from same company.Even offer to pay extra for exchange.Understand it was custom but is it already in production within two days with two months delivery time????
Customer service!!!! Are you for your customers?!?!?! Guess NOT.
Rules,rules,rules….0 effort helping their own customers.
Should change the name from customer service to OUR SERVICE.
Even get confuse with explaining the fabric we choose is water proof but after asking to demonstrate - COMPLETE FAILURE!!!!!
Not water proof at all.
Amateur stuff and poor service!!!

Nice location, store looks nice as well… service was completely the opposite. Crate & Barrel, is where I’m going now! Thanks for not assisting me!

If you want to feel completely unwelcome and ignored this is the place for you. Experiences like this are the reason why people are choosing to shop online.

Now I understand why this store is rated poorly.
Terrible experience with people who were completely unwilling to help. I asked for an exchange, but they kept insisting on proof of purchase. I never received an e-receipt—only an email asking me to review the salesperson. I explained that I had created an account with them on the day of purchase and asked if there was anything they could do to help. They said no, that they couldn't do anything without the receipt, either physical or digital. Meanwhile I am not asking for a refund I am asking for an exchange, very disappointing.

We went there today at 2:25ish (1/10/25) with my wife to return an overhead light. When we walked in with the bulky box there was no greeting and in fact there was a white male sales associate probably in his 40s with tattoos and glasses just talking to a personal friend (older woman) about a friend who lived in Brooklyn. For over 5 minutes we stood there with him right by the register glancing over at us periodically as we stood there quiet and patiently but continuing his conversation with-out a shed of acknowledgment. It was a very upsetting experience. Basic humanity says to at least acknowledge each other and basic sales says to greet the customer who's in the store. The woman associate who did finally come over was great but the 1 star is for the man who thinks he’s too good for us. My two errors were not saying anything and not getting his name for a corporate complaint. Going to pottery barn

Don’t buy from West Elm! You pay up front and they don’t deliver! Still waiting. Don’t bother with customer service either. They need to change their name to “bottom line service”

Just left and I’ve never felt so unwelcomed in a store.
No greeting from anyone, not even a smile or nod - not even eye contact! The only sales associate that looked my way was when I sat down on a sofa - and she didn’t have a pleasant look on her face.
Some sales associates were helping other customers, some were fixing displays, and some were legit just standing there. But cmon, you can say hello to a customer who may drop some $$$ at your store.
Just felt very cold. And when you’re shopping for your home, your place of solace - I wouldn’t want to do it at a store where the associates are icey.
Go to Pottery Barn across the parking lot instead. Got greeted by 3 different people in less amount of time than I was at West Elm.

I highly recommend working with Sarah Rozycki. She was easy to communicate with and very knowledgeable.
Sarah has good taste and will help you design the perfect layout.
