“I had the privilege of photographing a wedding on New Years Eve at the Glen Sanders Mansion in Scotia, New York! The space was beautiful and had spots to take pictures both inside and outside. Not every venue has a designated bridal attendant and that made it so much easier as a photographer to have someone to help me with the bride's dress during the photos! Overall a good experience and such a great space to celebrate the New Year!”

“Our choice for Schenectady Restaurant Week was Turf Tavern in Scotia, we have never been....it was delicious! I ordered off the restaurant week menu, Spinach Artichoke Dip, Prime Rib, Creme Brulee (this also came with a salad). Hubby had a Wedge Salad and the Sweet Cherry Pepper Pulled Pork. Everything was cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor, although I did need a little salt...Service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!”

“My husband and I had our wedding here. It was the perfect day from start to finish. The wedding planner, Ashley, made sure everything was taken care of and we had a wonderful day. The food was INCREDIBLE (seriously, it will not disappoint!). The grounds are beautiful. We got so many compliments from our guests that the venue was the most beautiful they had ever been to. The ceremony by the river, framed by giant oak trees — the gorgeous cocktail hour area, fire pits and gardens — the elegant, spacious and well-maintained ball room — the classy and historic manor house and bridal suite — it’s all so perfect! If you have your wedding here, you will not regret it. For the full experience you’re getting, I think the cost is pretty reasonable compared to RSM’s competitors too!The only thing I wish was different was the experience for the groom and groomsmen to get ready in the parlor of the ballroom before the wedding. We all arrived early to change into our clothes and take pictures. The bride and bridesmaids were served food and alcohol in the Manor House while we got ready (we paid extra for those two hours) but the groom got nothing as a part of that add-on package. Kind of a bummer but oh well, maybe we missed the fine print that only the ladies would have that perk!”

“My husband and I got married here in September 2023. The venue is dreamy and absolutely magical. I love how Sal, Stephanie and their whole team made everything so easy. While we were in the bridal suite, we were checked on multiple times to see if we needed anything else. Our guests RAVED about the appetizers and said that could have been dinner! Sal and Stephanie handled the day of things for us and took so much stress off me. The food is PHENOMENAL, the venue is picture perfect, and so easy to work with. All my guests raved about the venue, the food, even said it was the best wedding they had been to in a while. Our wedding there was a fairytale dream come true. They went over details with me to make sure it was just how I wanted. As a bride there are things I didn’t think of that Sal and Stephanie pointed out. My sister in law got married at their sister place, the Highland. I’d 10/10 recommend the Mohawk River Country club to anyone looking for a wedding venue. It was a no brainer to pick it for the food and the open bar to have the absolute best wedding. Thank you so much to Sal and Stephanie for everything you and your team did to make our wedding a HUGE success!”

“We went to the exhibit today for the 5 o’clock showing which was the last day .We had a wonderful experience BUT At the end, our friends joined in the VR experience. My fiancé and I I walked up to the VR tenant where we wanted to ask a question And he was so very rude along with an extreme response he didn’t like that we walked up into his space . We felt threatened by his response . We couldn’t believe that happened . In my opinion people like that should not be working and interacting with the public. What a sad ending to such a beautiful event .”

“World Class competitors and Instructors ! Fabulous personalities will make dance lessons fun as well as top competitive Instruction ! My 12 year old daughter and I are 6 year students here and we love the atmosphere and Instruction at Dancefire ! We are lucky to have this level dance studio in our area !”

“Had our wedding 09/02/2023. Harvey and his wife are nothing but kind people who knows their stuff. The garden was beautiful, with the flowers and trees and the fountain. Like something out of a movie. We were able to do a tour of the place and really make a plan for what the day was going to be. And when plans changed Harvey was there ready. The cocktail hour was picture perfect with everyone in their gowns with the backdrop of the garden. It felt surprisingly upscale. And the reception area was the perfect size where there was a dance floor, and seating separate, so you didn't have people sitting in the dance floor. It was just perfect. You get more than just the venue, you get much needed help and support to make sure things go smoothly. We didn't need to coordinate the vendors, because Harvey was on top of it. We used turf tavern for catering and they worked well together. Only thing I regret is not using them for photography. I didn't because the photography style seemed old fashioned a bit. But the actual photographers I hired ended up being terrible and leaving early. Funny enough Harvey ended up stepping in and taking photos for us after they left. Which would not have happened if we went anywhere else. So all in Altamont Manor is a great venue”

“Proctor's is a great place to attend a show. The venue can make or break any show depending on the atmosphere, the sound system, and the people running it. While not perfect, Proctor's scores more reliably on each of these points, making it my favorite place to go for live entertainment.”

“We had our wedding at the Terrace this past weekend, November 4th. This was the perfect venue for a late fall wedding. From the beautiful view of the mohawk, well kept grounds, and lighting accents at night, we could not have asked for a more picturesque location.Taylor, the venue coordinator, was a pleasure to work with and ensured that our vision came to life. she worked with us throughout our planning process and was very accommodating to our requests. We were able to customize our menu the way we wanted and within our price range.The staff made us, the bride and groom, feel so cared for and allowed us to truly enjoy our night. Pat, our dedicated staff member, was absolutely wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed. Our guests had nothing but good things to say about the food and complemented the staff endlessly. Overall, we highly recommend the Terrace for your wedding as they made our special day such a wonderful experience!”

“We set almost alone for dinner overlooking the eighteenth green. We only saw 2 golfers but I don't take pictures of peopleI don't know (if at all possible). Entrance is in the back of the building, and could have at least one sign indicating that. I ordered a turkey club $14, and my brother ordered a hamburger $12. Both of us were very pleased with our meals. I am absolutely planning on going again. Service was exceptional and friendly.”

“The photos just don't do them justice! The room is beautiful. The outside looked amazing even with the winter looks. I can imagine what this place will look like once some of the outside renovations are complete. As a first time bride this was hands down the best walk through. Gert was very informative and took so much stress off me. I was a bundle of nerves when I arrived and left feeling like part of the family. I had additional questions I thought of on the way home and had a zoom meeting with Laurie and she was just as amazing! Answered all my questions and then some! I can't wait to have our special day celebrating here with these wonderful people.”

At first we didn't really find anything within our budget and were ready to leave then Dan helped us find one within our budget and was way more than accommodating, very friendly. His help was greatly appreciated and we will be back there next year for sure!!”
