“I am writing a review simply because this is a post office and many reviews are missing the mark. This location is great, Chris and Michael are very polite and courteous! Sometimes there is a line, which is inevitable, also it stinks to have to wait a while to buy a book of stamps but I’ve adjusted and typically buy 2-3 of them at a time. The space is always clean, they have plenty of other items in stock and my mail has never suffered delays or being lost! Again, it’s a post office, given the major macro changes in their governing bodies, perhaps any complaints should be sent there as they may help the staff who are dealing with much uncertainty.”

“I went specifically here due to reviews after being told my save the dates for my wedding were too thick with a wax seal to mail by other post offices. I was so close to having to open every single envelope and do it all over again. Until I went here! The clerk Danielle was so helpful! She made sure I had the right stamp that way it will be hand cancelled and won’t be an issue when mailing. She was so polite and even ran to make sure my postage made it on the truck for the day! I can’t thank her enough! She saved me HOURS of my time and HOURS of my hard work! I will definitely be coming back to Oakdale post office to send out my wedding invites! :)”

“I wanted to take a moment to recognize Fran for the incredible service she provided when we recently came to the Stony Brook Post Office to renew my husbands passport. From the moment we arrived, Fran was incredibly kind, patient, attentive, and helpful. She took the time to carefully explain everything we needed to know about the passport renewal process and made sure we understood all of the information before we left. She was knowledgeable, thorough, and genuinely went above and beyond to make the experience as easy and stress-free as possible. What stood out to me most was how wonderful she was with my children. She was so patient and sweet with them, making them feel comfortable and welcome throughout the entire process. As a parent, that kindness meant so much to me. Customer service like Fran’s is truly something special. She was professional, compassionate, and clearly takes pride in helping people. I hope you will pass along my appreciation to her and recognize her for being such a wonderful representative of the Stony Brook Post Office. Wait times are manageable and the pace of the operation does not feel rushed or chaotic. Parking is available on site, which removes one of the usual headaches of a postal errand entirely. By any reasonable standard for a government postal facility in New York State, this branch is doing things right. Nothing flashy, nothing extraordinary -- just a post office that works the way a post office should. That is more than enough to earn a recommendation.”

“Every time I go in there they workers are having a party, swinging from the lamps, dancing, blaring the music, drinking cocktails. I think I smell weed sometimes too. I usually hang out for a couple of songs and then leave buzzed, I usually forget to mail my letters LOL. Did anyone ever play that game with with the postage scale they are always playing? SO FUN!”

“Had a really positive experience at USPS Medford. The customer service here is honestly some of the best I’ve seen—staff are always friendly, patient, and very attentive. They take the time to help, answer questions, and make sure everything is handled properly, which makes a big difference. Even when it gets busy, the team stays professional and keeps things moving smoothly. It’s clear they care about helping people and doing their job well. The only thing I’d mention is that the building itself feels a bit outdated and could really benefit from a renovation. A more modern and refreshed space would make the experience even better.
