“I literally used to live next door to this USPS and went several times a week. Best USPS I've ever been to.
Customer service is always incredible - I frequently had to check the weight for things I was shipping and the staff here were always super patient with me!!
I also frequently had questions about sending different types of packages and loved that they gave me suggestions on the best shipping rates (for example, using priority boxes or flat rate boxes in some cases for better pricing). Even the substitute staff were awesome when routine staff weren't there -I got a DIY tip on making my own boxes once which was fun.
Lines are rarely long (sometimes it gets busy but usually not when I've gone - the longest line I've had to wait in had 3-4 people in front of me, but often I'd go right up to the counter).
Tons of parking around on the street or in The Rise apartments parking lot.

You really don’t come across great customer service anymore these days, especially In places like the post Office, where people are just trying to get through their day. What a pleasure it was to walk in here on a Thursday afternoon, and be greeted by such a pleasant smile and helpful demeanor. Carlos is the epitome of a someone that can truly change someone’s day around just by being kind and helpful. Someone that goes above and beyond, just because. “I called the post office about a package that I hadn't received on its expected date. Damien explained to me that sometimes packages take longer than expected. He took the tracking number down and my phone number, said he would keep me update on the status of the package. He called me today to let me know that they received the package at the facility and that it was out for delivery. Great customer service!”
“This is my favorite post office in the Capital District. The staff is always helpful and I know that if I ever have to do something of importance, I go here. It seems like the majority of negative reviews for this post office have something to do with passports. Well, you know what, this is not a passport office, it is a post office. They deal with mail primarily and passports is a small service that they offer. No one who is waiting in line to drop off their mail wants to see you filling out your passport application. So stop complaining and be glad that you can get your passport taken care of locally. I’ve never had any issues with them handling mail - they are great. And I’m sure that they are actually great at passports also. They are very professional and friendly as well.”

“I had to renew my passport for an unexpected international trip while on a visit to the area. I was able to have my photo taken here which made this s one step process. Though that made the task very convenient it was the postal staff member that made it a pleasurable experience.”
“I went to this post office located in the Empire State Plaza concourse on 01/02 around 1:30 pm. The employee Justin is really nice, helpful and answered all my questions with patience. I had a number of questions related to priority mail service, and different sizes of priority mail boxes they have at this location, and Justin is really knowledgeable, professional and excellent! I would definitely go back to this post office if I need help with any other questions or if I need to send out any package.”

I could never ask for a better office to put mail in my box ( my post man is has very muscular legs ) his calves make me drool every time I see him. His legs are comparable to that of a Roman god. It’s hard to work in a short staffed environment, but I’ve never heard one complaint from the workers. They are exemplary employees.”
